The final writeup lays out pretty clearly why none of these trades are likely to happen even without taking into account the Warriors have their own cap and luxury tax problems and that revenue for the 2020-2021 season (at least) are going to be down substantially. There isn't likely to be a lot of activity on the trade market as almost every team (possibly except the Warriors) is going to be looking to dump salary at the same time the end result being that none of them can actually make a trade. I don't think the Warriors are going to get back into the luxury tax to "Get Smart" as a 6th man even if it does improve their chances of winning another championship. The chaos in the league right now prevents it.

Even though the Warriors aren't playing in this supposed upcoming finals tournament(??), a lot of the guys discussed in this trade exception are on teams that will be playing, so that'll be something to keep an eye on. Does Playoff Iguodala "bring the Heat" to the Eastern Conference championships? Do the Rockets look like they'll fall apart at the seams and prompt a fire sale that makes RoCo available, or do they hold together well enough to make him untouchable? Do Smart's Celtics or Sabonis's Pacers look more playoff-ready?

Sabonis isn't leaving Indiana. He & Oladipo are bound at the hip.
