Losing GP2 is going to hurt more against a much improved set of offenses in the division. Especially when we’re looking to get the core more regular season rest. I remain irritated at that short-sighted decision

I think we need a separate thread for those of us still going through our GPII feels 😔

Finally had a chance to watch Donte's highlights on the Bucks. Maybe doesn't jump as high/not as athletic as GPII, but he definitely has that relentless energy and plays explosively, with better passing. And he was a starter for the Bucks?

I am cautiously optimistic!

Summer of Draymond continues:

Dray on the Trevor Noah show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OfbX8POjck

Great interview. Dray talks about being an underdog vs a villain. Talks about how a family has changed his life.

Wasn't able to watch today's game cuz of COVID, but I heard a certain Gui Santos was very good against the Kings.

Also I'm very excited for gui, he seems to just have it, if you know what I mean, very smooth for his size and in our culture and system I think he will reach his potential, jessup on the other hand will probably never sniff the nba.

Summer league is less about how good you look but how bad you look, if you look like you dont belong in a summer league game, ggs

Unless someone has beat me to it... I am formally announcing my formation of the “Gui Squad”.

one other thought: could Steph & Klay & Dray end up as the only guys on the roster over 30? I wonder about the team vibe with how many 20 year olds they’re rostering… at least Moody is preternaturally mature

after sitting with the White Donte signing for a bit…

nobody can ever replace GP2 in our hearts, but Donte seems like a good get, and with him in place I feel v good about our backcourt rotation & pretty confident we will have 8 players who can hold up in the Finals (6 that go without saying + Donte + likely Moody)

however, if Donte & Moody replace GP2 & OPJ, that’s a significant loss of size in the rotation

relatedly, with Otto & Bjelica leaving, my top remaining free agent priority is frontcourt shooting

I doubt TJ Warren wants to come back up Kuminga, but Juancho would be a nice get

could use a third string center too: Kaminsky, Gorgui, or Chriss (mostly for the vibes) are my picks

oh & I want Quinn on the roster! would be okay shifting Rollins to a 2-way to make it work

Lakers preferring Seth Curry over Joe Harris in the Westbrook/Irving deal is such a damn joke. If the Nets cave and throw either of them in they are officially the softest franchise ever. Douchebag divas like Kyrie and KD are ruining the league with the way they jump ship so often. I understand leaving bad situations and doing what's best for you but when you find yourself leaving more than once YOU might be the problem

It looks like Leandro Barbosa has given us a future Warrior player in Gui Santos. As fate would have it, Barbosa will be an assistant coach in Sacramento alongside Mike Brown. It would have been nice for Barbosa to continue working with Santos on his passing game which we all saw is sorely lacking. Santos seems to have inherited Barbosa's aggressive style being a scoring threat every time he has his hands on the ball. This bodes very well for the Warrior bench of the future and with better passing and defense, would he actually challenge Moody for a future starting role. He has better length and quickness than Moody and is not afraid to attack the basket. We'll see. But the rest of the scrubs that played in this game are well, scrubs, and have no chance of making our roster. Chachashvili, touted by someone as top 10 foreign talent and playing for Israel, looked woefully unprepared. Poor finishing, ft, and poor rebounding. No defense, in general. Yes, he's got a 3 point shot, a Warrior addiction and decree. Quinones, OMG. Send him back. Even if there is only one player like Santos on the SL squad, I'll be content with knowing that Leandro contributed something tangibly to his Warrior legacy. Best of luck, Leandro. Muito obrigado.

I don't know who I'd dislike more... the trio of CP3/Booker/KD or Lebron and Kyrie lol
