Hey y'all, somebody has to write a story about the draft it you're going to take this site seriously. Go look at Golden State of Mind this morning.

Saw this article the other day about the Warriors being "ready to roll" in the draft and these two paragraphs stood out:
"[Larry] Harris and father-and-son Lacobs, CEO Joe and VP of basketball operations Kirk, are in their usual roles, processing information and offering opinions. Shaun Livingston is the third former player, along with Mike Dunleavy and Zaza Pachulia, in the room delivering assessments. Steve Kerr, missing the playoffs for the first time in his coaching career, is involved."
...
“I've told my friends and people that will listen that I feel very confident about the three picks. That if we keep them, that we’ll get the right person because we've spent enough time to say, ‘OK, if we make a mistake, we've made the mistake as a group.’”
"OK, if we make a mistake, we've made the mistake as a group" said by Harris really did not sit well with me. The first paragraph confirms the Lacobs are very involved in the draft process (and Myers was not mentioned), and that last line suggests to me that these guys will ultimately defer to what Joe wants so if it's wrong they "made the mistake as a group" and everyone's jobs are safe.
Wiseman feels like a "we can't get fired if he sucks because Joe loved him" type of move. I'll hope for the best though, because this pick is crucial for how the rest of Curry's career goes.
