Steph Curry is BACK against Toronto! But is Lowry the greatest Raptor of all time?
Raptors HQ writer Jay Rosales joins LGW to discuss championships and the fear of "Unanimous".
Tonight’s Golden State-Toronto battle is the most anticipated game of the season for Dub Nation for three reasons:
Legendary hooper Steph Curry makes his return from a broken hand that sidelined him for four months.
This is the first time these two teams have met since Toronto outlasted the Dubs in the 2019 Finals.
The Warriors’ collection of young bullies and 10-day contract mercenaries laid waste to the West’s #3 seeded Denver Nuggets in their last game. It’s plausible the Dubs could get greedy and steal a game from the #2 seed in the East.
With those storylines in mind, I video chatted Tuesday night with author Thomas “Dr. Tom” Bevilacqua (@THBevilacqua) and Raptors HQ writer Jay Rosales (@Rosalesaurus). Jay is a longtime die-hard Raptors fan turned hoops pundit who gave us some excellent insight into Toronto’s mentality as they attempt to repeat as champions. (The video is embedded at the top of this article).
We discussed what it’s like watching your favorite team win it all, dealing with uninformed bandwagoners, and the pure terror Curry incites in opponents.
@Rosalesaurus and @THBevilacqua joined me on the latest @LetsGoWarriors videocast to discuss the return of Stephen Curry and the fear Raptors fans have of him. Forgot McCaw was on the Raps lol
Having Curry as a shooting threat and a ballhandler already makes the transition offense look better with defenses always scrambling to pick him up.
Too bad in the half court you look around and it's Damion Lee and JTA "spreading" the floor....
