I might be misreading the rule, but apparently starting 12/15 and continuing up though the deadline, multiple minimum contracts can be aggregated, even if it's a 3(or more)-1 trade. If we're within a few mil of completing a trade, it could be the difference.

We could also turn (for example) TJD and Gui's contracts into one worth $5 mil, save money for another signing, etc.

Probably not a huge deal, but might come into play if needed (and if I'm not making a mistake - usually a big if)

I know I am in the minority but we need to trade Podz.

We have old stars, no size and below average athleticism. We also pretty much lead the NBA in turnovers.

All this connector stuff is really overrated for this group. We need a very athletic guy who can handle the ball and play D. A guy like a 100 pct no restrictions healthy Melton.

I like Podz but I honestly believe he is overrated even by a great coach named Kerr. He came in and his attitude and skill set as a rookie for that group and was better than expected. I think it created unreal expectations. He just is not that talented. He is not athletic enough or big enough for what they need in my opinion. No way will he ever, ever be a NBA point guard.

As a 2 he is just again lacking athleticism and consistent scoring ability vs good defenders. His passing is average at best. He wants to be a star but I wanted to pitch in the majors so wanting doesn’t make it so.

So in my eyes he is not a great fit for this roster and his ceiling is not high.

Even as an off the bench guy I would rather have the threat of Buddy and Seth Curry. Moody can also play a 2.

Sorry and not trying to be disrespectful to the many Podz fans.

As someone who checks Warriors twitter occasionally, you’re definitely not in the minority. I’m agnostic on it, I think he just doesn’t have a lot of value if he’s not a shooter, but his salary is so low you’re not getting a star back for him and the Warriors need guys who can dribble. He’d be an add-on in a trade, like the Warriors are making the big move and want to save a pick so they throw in Podz instead.

But I think people are more frustrated with him and want to get rid of him because he talks so much, and that probably shouldn’t factor into things, it’s not like he’s jacking up shots

It is amazing we went 3-3 on this ridiclous stretch of games. The worst stretch to come is March 15th. All away games. 5 games in one week, a pair of B2B. Silver and the NBA should be dragged through the mud for that. I have yet to discover a worst schedule.

We catch our breath in December. January's only saving grace is most games are at home include 2 sets of B2B.

Is the NBA truly trying to injure players?

I am very aware of the team's style of play, which attracting me to the W's 10 years ago, and does create situations where TO's are more prevalent. But that was then and this is now. This team has obvious weaknesses that previous teams did not, and now that the NBA has probably the highest amount of truly competitive teams, they are going to have to figure out how to drastically reduce the TO's or they will not have a successful season, that is make the playoffs.

Reposting this interesting stat:

I heard an interesting stat vis-a-vis warriors TOs for this season. If they have more TOs then the opponent they are 1-8 and if they have fewer then they are 8-0. So more than number of TOs , its the differential

TO's don't exist in a vacuum. Yes, they need to lower them, and Kerr knows that. If they can get to about 15/game, they'll be great.

Wish he had the on court maturity of his older brother. The skill is there but treats the game like it's AAU. I don't care if he's on a bad team.

Not sure if this was already posted, but Draymond was recently on an NFL podcast thing. The part I found interesting starts ~30:58: Draymond talks about a conversation that happened during the dinner at Jimmy’s house. Horford asked Draymond what happened between him & Jordan Poole.

Draymond says it turned into an hour long conversation & was one of the best conversations he has had with teammates. Said it was a learning experience for him as far as how new guys coming into the team might perceive him & led to a ‘release of tension’ amongst the guys there. I really like that Horford brought it up.

> With no Butler available, the Warriors never calmed down.

And this is why Butler makes this team a contender. Without him, they are an anxious mess.

I kept waiting for the sky to fall in on the "subs" so that I didn't have to watch the debacle, but I was completely hooked when the guys were up going into the 4th Q. But then the turnovers multiplied, and all of their efforts were thrown away. But looking at the big picture, the stats show that the stars are also guilty of too many turnovers. The team is 3rd to last in TO's.

Think of the many opportunities to score that they have thrown away so far. It is, along with dealing with so many other teams' height, the #1 problem.

I have to fault the coaches. It is time to deal with this TO problem once and for all. They are all getting paid plenty of money, so I am not going to tell them how to do it. But starting now, they need to be under 10 for every game.

There's not a single team under 10 per game. I don't even see a single team that went under 11 per game in the last 25 years.

We're actually tied for last with the Lakers if you factor in pace.

The Warriors’ system is completely dependent on movement and passing. That is not compatible with expectations of less than 10 TOV/game.

Hollinger on GSW. I like reading him because of his heavy but not full analytics angle and he’s fairly neutral on GSW… The full article has more on Will and juicy stuff about NOP dysfunction (such as Poole’s bad rep and Willie Green being protected from firing for a long time because his wife was best pals with the owner).

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6815281/2025/11/18/aj-dybantsa-pelicans-warriors-nba/

[[ Zero. That’s how many guard-guard screens Will Richard set in his final year at Florida, according to Warriors coach Steve Kerr, after Golden State player development director Seth Cooper analyzed his tape.

But on a team that relies heavily on such actions to free up Steph Curry, Richard has proved to be a remarkably quick study after the Warriors took him with the 56th pick in the draft. He has started the last three games, all Warriors wins, while Jonathan Kuminga is out, and posted a 17.7 PER in 13 games. It’s the third year in a row Golden State has identified a back-end rotation player in the 50s, after selecting Trayce Jackson-Davis (57) and Quinten Post (54) the previous two years.

Needless to say, I’m kicking myself for only having Richard 62nd on my board after he measured poorly at the combine. Richard constantly flashed as an off-ball role player at Florida, including 18 points and eight rebounds in their NCAA championship game win over Houston, and while he was an older prospect with less upside, his skill set indicated an NBA fit. ]]
