Yeeeeiiiii on the Warrior WONDER, Duby. And, Lamb was killing it. Frankly, I want both, Lamb and Ty on a contract and into the playoffs. Don't ask me how, I am just a Dubs fan; it is BOB'S AND STEVE's jobs to figure that out....lol

Raptors beat the Blazers 117-105. Warriors move to #8 seed while the Blazers fall to #9.

The top 10 teams with the lowest average age are: Thunder, Magic, Spurs, Rockets, Pistons, Grizzlies, Blazers, Hornets, Wolves, and Knicks. Warriors are 8-6 against them so far. Oddly enough, they are 6-0 against the youngest teams in the West and 2-6 against the youngest teams in the East.

This one was certainly a downer, but the team should be able to recover as long as Klay's knee isn't the start of something serious. It continues to reinforce the thing I've been saying for weeks that the team needs a roster move (beyond signing Lamb/Jerome to the full roster) to be really competitive. The available roster got outplayed on both ends of the floor last night.

Wiggins looked rusty. He made his open threes but he wasn't disruptive on defense and his drives on offense didn't get past anyone. I have to think he'll be back in game shape soon.

Iguodala looked kind of like last year: smart, good positional play, but he's not taking guys off the dribble and he's not looking for his own shot at all. But the other guys couldn't get open for good passes in the lane because the Magic were defending there while leaving the three-point line open. I didn't expect much more from him so that's not terrible but he didn't bring what was missing from the available lineups.

This is how Kerr-ball breaks down when the 3-point shooting isn't threatening enough. But we also didn't have anyone with a post-up game healthy enough to threaten there, either. Maybe when Wiggins is fully back.

Poole is playing lately kind of like how Steph was during the 3-point record chase last season: hurried and desperate with flashes of greatness. He's got to remember how to stay in-rhythm and play to his strengths.

The Dubs defense was uncoordinated. They sucked in transition and they were inconsistent in the half court. They weren't stopping drives 1-on-1, their attempts to help left them out of position to really contest 3's, and Orlando had just enough luck and energy to make it hurt.

Moody was my biggest disappointment this game. He didn't really do anything effective at all in his few minutes. As one of the guys who's still healthy and was expected to be a bigger part of the rotation this year, he should be capable of more. PBJ at least knocked down a couple shots.

The refs didn't exactly make it easy, either. When we drove, the amount of contact wasn't enough for a foul; when they did, they got free throws. But the refs were not the biggest problem by far.

When Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Kuminga, and—yes, even Wiseman—are healthy again, this roster should be in good enough shape to win this game. It wouldn't even take all of those guys. But with the core getting older, we need more injury insurance than we used to, and the young crew is not quite there yet.

Here's hoping it doesn't take Andrew long to find his real game shape, and Steph too.

While I really hope for a win against the Suns (yea they have a lot of their own problems) it’s likely this will be another slow regroup type game as Wiggins and Andre slide into their grooves and the lineups start gelling again with them. We’re probably at least a few weeks away from silky delicious Kerrball with the entire team working together. How wonderful would it be if JK and JW could get back and get integrated as well.

I nailed that 'revenge' game prediction...NOT!

Good to see WW back and for those new to the site this is meant for the unexpected Warrior of the night otherwise it would just be Curry whenever he steps out onto the court.

DDD I'm with you on the Lamb pick but I would have thrown in a vote slot for the 2-ways so they could both be credited for stepping up.

I started typing out how frantic Poole was but then I remembered he was playing in a lineup of donte bad Wiggins draymond and looney.

It’s easy to yell at the screen stop shooting but there really is no spacing for him to get to the cup, I really don’t know about adding Iggy to the rotation unless he’s strictly playing next to curry and klay

PBJ not an option in the poll? What disrespect 😃.

For a rookie who hasn't logged in too many non-garbage minutes, PBJ looks very grounded and doesn't panic, doesn't get beat 1-1 that easily (2-5). But long way to go:

- Screening

- Hustle and nose for rebounds

- Passing.

He can be Belly like with some degree of those three.

So our Warriors Wonder was chosen for his 3-point shooting, even though he didn’t even shoot league average, or his own season average. Hooray?

Frustrating loss. But thinking about it this morning, it was a scheduled loss once Klay got pulled before tip off: Compared to last few games:

- Klay scoring and gravity was missing

- Wiggs is not in rhythm physically or mentally (apparently he sounded congested) and getting integrated into line ups he hasn't played with before

- Andre's first game of the season - playing in lineups he hasn't played in before

- Weird jumbled lineups because of above 3

- Poole went to other extreme of being Drunken Master. Understandable given how he has closed last few games. Needs to find balance

Having said that:

- Young long team with nothing to lose have been giving Dubs problems even when fully healthy.

- Our rotations on defense were atrocious. On multiple plays (few involving Dray too), we didn't switch (two guys ended on same player) and left a guy open for an easy 3.

- Gaping a low % shooter is a probability game which may not swing your way as it didn't this game.

On to next game. Let's beat struggling Suns and finish 6-2. That was the best case expectation when Steph went down.

58 out of 88 field goal attempts were 3s. I didn’t get to see the game, but I figure this was because the trees were too densely packed in the paint to get inside. This could be a winning strategy with Steph and Klay, but with Lamb, Poole and Draymond bombing away this doesn’t seem like a way to win. Maybe all we had though.

So… this “Jordan Poole can’t hit threes” thing is getting really annoying to watch…

can the dubs win with only one player taller than looney? they did last year, 6 year vet bjelica. this year the dubs have only wiseman taller than looney, essentially a rookie. is that enough? here's a look back on past successful years and how many roster spots were dedicated to guys taller than looney:

18-19: 5 guys: jerebko, durant, cousins, jones, bogut

17-18: 6 guys: west, casspi, durant, zaza, jones, mcgee

16-17: 6 guys: west, durant, verajao, zaza, jones, mcgee

15-16: 5 guys: speights, verajao, jthompson, ezeli, bogut

Once Steph is back, can we send JP down to Santa Cruz one last time before his rookie contract ends, please?

After the last few games, I'm almost serious about this ...
