Not sure if this was posted yet, Kerr on Wiseman:

“James is going to be our starting center before too long,” Kerr said. “It might happen Tuesday, but clearly he is our long-term starting center. And when we feel he’s ready for that, then we’ll put him out there and then it’s a matter of minutes and how long he can play. And for me as a coach, for my staff, it’s let’s give him the experience of seeing the different pictures that are going to be in front of him.”

Nets should destroy the Warriors, especially their bench. As Matt says, their only weakness is defense so there will be the make or break battles that will decide if the Warriors are really a true contender. As others have said, Wiggins guard KD. Last season, you remember that Wiggins was on AD and wasn't bad. I see Oubre on Kyrie as Curry is not quick enough to guard him and Oubre has those long arms for shot blocking. Anyone on KD is going to have their hands full. He's got all the skills and talent to break down a defense. He is essentially unguardable but not infallible. Limiting his 3 pointers will be crucial. Kyrie is dangerous to the basket as well as from the perimeter. This will be a tough challenge for the Dubs out of the gate.

Sounds like Draymond is doubtful for Opener

Looks like Mulder is the 15th spot

The matchups will be fascinating. I'm pretty confident KD will guard Draymond and the centers will guard each other, otherwise I feel like it could go a lot of different ways. Wonder who they put on Curry?

Completely un related to anything here but I don’t have a forum to ask (so please let me know if it’s not appropriate) How much money is Kawahi losing on his next contract with the tangential law suit against Jerry West? Will any front office deal with his people ever again?

It’s nice to have a star like Steph!!!!

Wish KD all the best. A dominating player who was a solid citizen in the community and a tremendous talent to watch. I look forward to seeing the Dubs do their best to contain him - say 30 points, 7 assists, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Expect them to double him frequently. Some man defense with Looney, Chris, Oubre and Paschall all picking up 3 fouls trying to defend. Kyrie will also make some hay going inside unless Draymond is there, in which case Nash will pull him to keep him healthy.

My prediction - Dubs by 11 as Oubre and Wiggins each explode for 20+, Paschall surprises with 17, Curry gets a quiet 37 and Wiseman gets a surprise start and 13 blocks before fouling out.

The Nets are loaded, and on paper this looks like a mismatch, especially if Draymond doesn't play. Same with the Bucks. But I believe that the Warriors will be a far different and better team in the second half of the season than the first, injuries notwithstanding. Once the Warriors integrate Wiseman into their defense, they should be a force to be reckoned with on that end. Offensively, Curry is going to carry a heavy workload, but if he holds up he could be back in MVP form. The big question offensively is, can Wiggins and Oubre score enough and shoot well enough. If those questions are all answered in the affirmative, the Warriors could do some damage come the playoffs.

Don't judge them based on the first month of the season, though.

They both looked very good yesterday at the last preseason game. While we are still figuring things out they look in mid season form.

It's going to be a long first game, 2nd game too.

Brooklyn my team out of the East. They have very likeable players. I get Kyrie is such a polarizing figure with media and fans but from years past, he was the one respected Cavs player from those championship years amongst Warriors players.

KD can't knock a man for wanting to play with his friends. I always said that I think KD came here because he saw the camaredie between the core and of course the best opportunity to win a chip. I think the one thing that failed to materialize for him was that Steph and Dray with their family, Klay with his IG models. I think he finally has a person to kick it with outside of bball.

This analysis with no mention of Andrew Wiggins... maybe oversight or maybe intentional...??

Man oh man the Nets look deep. Kyrie will prove this year one way or another if he is worthy of the star moniker.

Are the Nets not offering draft picks for Harden? If the Nets offered up a couple of their secondary players and three unprotected first round picks to the Rockets for Harden I’d do that in a heartbeat if I was the Rockets GM. Kyrie, Durant, and Harden is a two year marriage at best, and it’s one of the all time emo teams in history. Any picks after the first two years could be better than the haul Boston got.
