I listened and watched the Box Score. I just don't see hpw JK is worth that contract. Podz and TJD × 4 = JK deal. Maybe I missed somethong. Flashes of brilliance but not a single rebound for JK???
Despite my question about your Dray take, I do agree that it's not fair to use contract value to compare a guy on his second contract with a guy on a rookie-scale deal. In particular if you wanna use BP+TJD as the example, where their rates of pay are fixed based on draft position and 2RP minimum contract value, respectively.
Um... Draymond was #3 in DPOY votes last season as a 35 year old? He even got 15 1st-place votes. He's over a decade older than the two guys who were in front of him in the voting.
I don't understand the critique - how much better should he be at $25M AAV? Subjective, sure, but that's what Joe is paying him, and that was a *below market rate* deal when he signed it.
I know I shouldn't but I did. Other than his first season I don't see the sort of improvement that one would hope. I think his EGO is bigger than his BBIQ. Sorry I keep hoping, but it just isn't working.
I hope we lock him up ... don't know if he'll ever be a starter, but he's the kind of do-everything guy (with size!) that is very useful. And, his shooting seems to be getting better.
post-game thread up!

JK is trying to become a passing big. Early returns aren't very good, but I credit him with trying to mold his game to the team a little bit.
It's really hard to evaluate anyone other than Podz by this game (Podz was spectacular, full-stop).
No Jimmy, Steph, Horford, and Dray looking like he'd rather be at the proctologist. Not a good game.
Then how is Draymond worth his contract considering his play these days? You shouldn't compare rookie contracts to guys on their 2nd contract

I've watched Draymond for long enough that I know I don't need to worry about him once the games matter

I think there’s something to be said for the value Draymond has brought the franchise (and thus his employers) being returned to him.
I don’t honestly know what all those millions of dollars mean. That world is not my own.
Thought they would complete the comeback when they got to within 4. Oh well...
They would have won if Podz had kept playing into the 4th.
No undefeated preseason this year, but Warriors are still undefeated in the minutes I've watched, I guess I'll take it.
Cryer is a lights out shooter
33-6 on FT?
Lakers *only* have 31, my bad.
That can't happen to Spencer, your role on the team is to dribble the ball.
Multiple times the refs just decided not to call a jump ball when tied up
Yeah wtf, just saw that. Just changing those rules now to stop players from getting trapped?
Gotta help out the team that has only taken 31 FTAs to the other team's 6
We were so close to getting through a whole game without a lacrosse comment. One day…
Dalton Knecht looks like he stepped out of an episode of The Andy Griffith Show.
I LOVE our "closing unit"!
Sick stepback three from Gui

I hope he has a more prominent role on the team after January 15th lol
Or sooner depending upon Kerr's patience
I like JK, but that was funny. :)
Gui 3!!
4 point game. Who'd a thunk.
Too much foul on 3pts shooter
If LJ wore 'The Town' jersey, he'd be the Town Cryer.
