Awesome. I have no other words for him. Awesome.

Think about his yearly activity. At the draft, with picks so high that seem to belong where prime numbers don't exist anymore, he always manages to bring home some excellent prospects, if not simply outright future all stars. Then, he rummages tirelessly into the FA market leftovers until he brings home enough excellent vets at minimum salary to frighten Jacques Cousteau with our bench's depth. Then a few future HoFs come knocking at his door for a well deserved big bag, and despite this starting a NBA-fueled luxury tax chain reaction that rivals the Tsar Bomba, he manages to keep them happy and motivated and smiling at japanese press and flying on Saitama hardwood.

And after all this, including resizing again and again and again the Chase trophy deck to contain new ones, he never gets a quantum of the recognition and gratitude that he deserves.

But there's me, at least.

Thank you, Bob Myers. You are awesome.

Two thoughts.

Moody and I am hoping based on early evidence PBJ are high IQ dudes that want to play winning ball and can shoot the three. Long productive careers are there for the taking.

Wiseman needs to be able to stay on the floor because he is a problem. Match his athleticism and he will go over you. Match his length and he will go past you. He can pick and pop. He can pick and roll. He can catch lobs that are barely in the same time zone as the rim. And if you have to be scheming to stop Wiseman when you are already scheming to stop Steph mfing Curry? And Klay and Wiggs and Poole and Moody and DDV etc are ready to knock down open shots? Lord have mercy.

For anyone that doesn't have a subscription but wants to watch, in the NBA app it says I can buy the game for $0.99. Not sure if it would have been available or the same price when live.

Reminder that DDV is a full year younger than Looney and six months younger than rookie Pat Spencer. Dude is a bouncy 25-year-old with the basketball sense of a 30 year old.

Tried to watch and League Pass has a 72-hour blackout in my area. For a preseason game? Come on...

Somewhere in the 4th I totally fell asleep which was fine since I actually have work to do today lol. But that was a super fun watch 👍

Form my underground volcano super villain lair on Wiseman Island.

Me: "Excellent!" (taps fingers togethers slowly). "Things are going right on schedule."

Henchman #3: "Is it time to release the sharks with laser beams on their heads?"

Me: "Not yet, but soon. Very very soon." (devolves into cackling).

I didn't see the game, but fun reading all the comments even though the Dubs had already gotten the W. Lots of positives!! Sounds like the starters' shooting was taking a nap.

I have a new kitten companion who will most likely be my Dubs game bud. Molly's brother Boots has decided that being an inside kitty is a good thing. Curled up by my side most of the time when I am sitting in my chair. Amazing how quickly he's adapted [3rd full day inside]. Three weeks ago, I had to catch him to hold him.

Wiseman looked smooth… and quick.

The way JK and JW worked together on offense and defense feels like they scrimmaged a lot together this summer.

Thoughts on what i saw:

- awesome to have NBA and the Dubs back, that’s my primary observation

- JW looked good moving up and down the court; looks like he got the memo from the coaching staff: rim run and you’re just going to collect points cause the other bigs will trail you

- DDV looked really impressive. The GP2 comparisons obviously make no sense because they’re completely different players. But, he’s a got a really well-rounded game. Rebounds, handles the point, defends, shoots. Quick twitch athlete. Great 3d guard.

- PBJ is as advertised. He’s a big who can shoot. Not an explosive athlete, but could have a nice long NBA career as a stretch 4-5. Not a wing. That turn around jumper was nice cause his release point is so high its tough to defend.

- I liked what I saw from RR. Reminded me of early days watching JP3. I had some hope for JP3 early on cause he consistently beat his man to the paint, but he had no idea how to finish at the NBA level. RR constantly beats his man off the dribble, but he’s obviously a long way from figuring out what comes next.

Was also nice to see Draymond flying up and down the court, he looked a lot like he looked like last preseason, which is a great sign.

Oh, hell YES! NBA is back!

I know I'm not the only one who turned off the NFL game at halftime after Tua got rocked. Scary to see that. But I had already set my alarm for 2:30am pacific and glad I did.

Our second unit is a second starting lineup. Led by tonights starter JP3, the lineups w/Moody, Wise, JK and Jamychal (or Donte, or PBJ, et al.) all played with a force, and played well together. James Wiseman looked terrific, in the flow, and making a difference on both sides of the ball. Lots of smiles! Both PBJ and Rollins are long and smooth and look the part of NBA players.

I'll take this 'meaningless' pre-season win. I like the way the Dubs held off the Wiz tonight , letting them get close, but never giving up the lead.

Oh, and yeah, the starters will round into shape!

So . . . QW. Solid guy, a Damien Lee/JTA type of team guy, but less talented and has pretty much shown us who he is by now. I'm already higher on Lester Q and Rollins (despite his so-so game this morning.) Both kids are still developing. Nothing wrong with keeping him around, but when one of our bigs has the night off and another gets a lot of early foul calls, we get thin real fast. You just want to have that one extra big you can throw out there to eat minutes, especially if you are facing off against some of the BIG bigs. We have a guard rotation of: Curry, Klay, Poole, Donte, Moody, Rollins & Lester on a 2-way. That's 7 guards. Not to mention we have Andre (point forward) and Wiggs who played the 2 earlier in his career. So where does QW fit in? What value can he add to that position. That's why I think our other 2-way ought to go to a utility minute eating break in case of emergency big.
