While the return of Steph Curry lifted hearts and minds, there was clearly some rust that has to be knocked off - both for Curry himself as well as his team.
Not-so-OT: Lol, Hey, Duby, couldn't help but go back and look at the "old" site; single-digit-comments for the Toronto game-thread as the game ended (they added a couple comments for a grand total of 13, today)! Most "articles" you can count the comments on the your fingers...of one hand! I know, my comment will wind up at the bottom of this thread, but, I couldn't help but gloat a bit! You guys are doing something right, and, I am dang proud of you!
I should add, the laugh I had was worth every cent of the 50 bucks of your dirt-cheap annual fee I paid! Can you imagine, singled-digit comments for a long-awaited Curry return in a rematch of last year's Championship Final! Dem boy are done! Sorry, but, LMAO! Justice!
Every time I go back to GSOM or any SBN site, I am astounded by how long it takes for comments to load (I am on a pretty fast internet connection) and how easy it is, especially on my phone, to click on ads. Man oh man, I do not miss these things!!
No freshmen Wooden finalists this year (yes, Toppin is on there, Saddiq Bey is intrigiung if we trade down to late lottery, Cassius Winston would've been a good early 2nd-round pick, Azubuike could maybe fall to late 2nd-round):
"We play games without the fans? Nah. Impossible,” James said after a 113-103 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. “I ain’t playing if you don’t have the fans in the crowd. That’s who I play for. I play for my teammates, I play for the fans. That’s what it’s all about. So, if I show up to the arena and there ain’t no fans in there? I ain’t playing. So, they can do what they want to do.”
I think an empty arena should be the norm, at least for this homestand.
Eh, while it spreads very easily, it's hard to say how dangerous it is for most healthy people, let alone pro athletes. I had H1N1, and I would never consider myself a "survivor." I thought I read that it was more deadly than COVID-19, but now I can't find that info.
Yeah that's the problem, how many people at the game work with/visit/live with older people? Not to mention BART, etc. It's more for containment of potential carriers.
I had a lot of questions about Wiggins coming in and so far he has shown flashes that’s he’s capable of answering them (although a very small sample size). I hope he can put all of it together into one package because he seems to only be able to do one thing a game whether it’s passing, rebounding or playing defense. The good news is we now know he has that potential. I think he also needs to work on his shooting because his shot looks horrendous. Even when they go in they look ugly. Fortunately for him he has two of the best shooters ever to learn from.
Really has been a crazy year, tortuous, intriguing, frustrating, entertaining... all over the map. I am kind of ready for it to be done. Losing is hard to watch. Suspending hope is hard to maintain for long periods of time.
Maybe it is because I have been in the bay area long enough to watch the Dampier and Spreewell years, the losing doesn't really bother me all that much. Those teams were usually playing for a good lottery pick by December ... which the Warriors management would generally then screwup. Even the skeleton crews this season have generally been watchable even if you didn't really expect them to win and baring more injuries, you know next years team is going to the playoffs.
I cling to Warriors games now that Curry is back. As an accountant during tax season who is also finishing up getting a degree as a 44 yr old father of two, these games are my refuge, made all the more magical as of the last game.
Oh goodness, thanks! You can see why, when GSOM's soul became threatened (further threatened, I should say, after all the ad mess that had accumulated over the years), I jumped on the LGW train quickly (and glad I did- it's a regular Hogwarts Express in here!)
43 year old father of two, emissions auditor here. I couldn't imagine getting a degree right now, but I feel you on the Warriors as an escape from auditing and spreadsheets
The issue then wasn't value, the Warriors needed to dump salary to duck the lux tax and the choices were to either dump Looney, or dump 2 of Poole, Evans, and Spellman.
Is D'Antoni the offense version of Thibs? I know Harden's durable, but he played 45 minutes
Happy to see GR3 and Alec Burks back in the building tonite
Influenza A , better than Covid-19 !
Yep, it's apparently 19-0 Hornets over the (Westbrook-less) Rockets

Be proud of us all. If the community didn't make the move, it would be us sitting here with 3 comments.
Incredibly thankful for everyone here who helped make this happen
>>> I know, my comment will wind up at the bottom of this thread,
That issue is resolved AFAIK.
Yep, threads go in chronological order with more recent at top.

Very helpful, LeBron:

Pray for Steph. He is out (illness) today. Hope it's not COVID-19
It's Steph Throat. Kidding aside, hopefully it's just a tank-related "illness".
Obligatory: Steph Curry (almost led the Warriors to a tank-endangering victory over the Raptors) is out tonight
On a serious note, it would be awful, but I really doubt it’s covid-19.
Bingo! I kinda suspect Steph will catch a couple of those "Steph Throats" to make the draft lottery appealing....

You both are absolutely right

Once in while, doubt creeps in again. Like whenever I see Wiseman I think of Patrick O'Bryant lol.

I nominate G&B for Honorary LetsGoWarriors Poster For Life

lol, should call yourself super glueandgold, still able to find time to mingle and entertain fans here!
Kinda thinking we should've traded Looney instead of Spellman now....
The issue then wasn't value, the Warriors needed to dump salary to duck the lux tax and the choices were to either dump Looney, or dump 2 of Poole, Evans, and Spellman.
I hope KD has a full recovery and shitty next season. Tired of talking about the snake
Hmm, just read that KD’s buddy Kleinman is a pushing for ....wait for it...Mark Jackson to replace him. Bah-ha-ha-ha!
It's weird that being such a anti-Jackson guy makes me such an enormous advocate for him getting a coaching gig, and yet here we are... SIGN HIM!
If it takes him out of the broadcast booth, HELL YEAH!
