I love the Steph-Brandon-Gui-Yax-Dray starting 5. Yax and Gui bring enough size to make it work (man, what a godsend that Yax is center-sized) and BP’s role rebounding helps too.
I guess Jimmy replaces either BP or Gui (whoever’s playing less awesomely) when he returns? Kind of like the idea of him replacing BP, much as I love BP, cos it’s then a legitimately BIG five-man unit.
>>> This is a structural concern, as Green ages and the league continues to get younger and faster, the viability of Draymond at the center position fades.
I think Kerr playing Draymond at center indicates a number of things:
1. It’s an acknowledgement that they need to get their best players on the floor and right now Gui is one of those guys.
2. At this stage, Draymond is a lot more expendable than years past and the team’s immediate need to tread water while waiting for reinforcements to arrive is more pressing than preserving him.
3. When Butler, KP and Moody are all available, Draymond will have needed to prove that he’s still one of the top five players on the team, and center is the only position that seems possible.
But from the perspective of a preseason that’s built around assessing what’s possible as a holding patter. there’s still some incredibly impactful outcomes coming out of these remaining preseason minutes.

With the extension, Podz’ haters’ hearts sank,
He signed it and had many to thank,
He’d go high in a re-draft,
Disagree and you be daft,
Cause he’s laughing all the way to the bank.
I think you meant to edit out a paragraph or two in the middle there. Or are your sentences playing multiple roles?
I think something happened here as well:
