UPDATE (12:00pm): Slater says:
No Steph Curry or Chris Paul tonight for the Warriors in Sacramento, per sources. Steve Kerr had said his veterans likely would miss at least one preseason game.
Inspirational verse from Trayce Jackson-Davis’s post-game interview on 2023-10-13 after he ended a rollercoaster game with a game-winning outback and game-sealing block:
Just kind of take me through the roller coaster of emotions you experienced in this game.
At the end of the day, it's always next play mentality. Probably fouled him [Anthony Davis] twice. Two of them were kind of questionable, but it is what it is. I'm a rookie, so I wasn't sweating it. I got to the bench and coach was like, they're screwing you right now, just play through it. And that's what I did, just a mentality. And in the fourth, knowing I have four fouls, not to foul, and then just trying to help my team win.
They already asked you about guarding Anthony Davis… What was that just six minutes stretch like getting the and-one, like what do you see on that play and then?
Just seeing Steph, AD kind of went to the ball, so I just thought “cut to the rim”, and then he gave me a great pass, and then just finishing through contact. And then on the other end of the floor, I probably got him twice. I know I didn't get [LeBron James]. He kind of just threw it up there. But it is what it is. And then the last one kind of was questionable, too. He kind of went into me. I was straight up. But you're a rookie, so some calls don't go your way. So just playing through it….
When I got back to the bench, Chris [Paul], Rudy [Gay], and Dray [Green] were all giving me pointers on how to guard guys and what to do. Rudy was like You're not guarding AD right now. You're guarding a basketball player and so get up into them and do these things. We know AD is a great player. But at the end of the day, you gotta treat him like a regular basketball player. You gotta get up and into him and do stuff like that. He said I was giving him too much respect, in a respectful way.

Got to see the game late and it certainly had some resonating moments that just won’t leave my head.
GP2 should play at least 2x3 minute stints each quarter. He’s such a game changer and if he played with a passer that could see the move on time he’d have had a few dunks on cuts too. Good things the Warriors have those.
Saric isn’t as good a reader of the game as Bjelica. But he gets the job done.
Robinson thank you for your service. Time to move on before infecting anyone else with that summer league mindset.
Kuminga + rebounder willing to hit him leaking out = good times rolling!
