Yes, after watching Looney miss 2 or 3 bunnies off the backboard he made two in a row but those were dunks. He seems to have problems picking an effective spot on the backboard or is just being knocked askew when going up. I heard Podz on his postgame interview talk about specific dots on the practice backboard because he and Curry are vertically challenged.
I can understand your uncertainty. Maybe I can help. NBA basketball does not work the way some people think elections work. While some people think an electoral candidate can demand the counting stop when they are ahead, no one believes scorekeepers can stop counting baskets just because one team demands they do so, and the NBA does not allow the scorekeeper to stop keeping score whenever someone looks like they're ahead and demands they stop keeping score. So, you are right: DUBS WIN!!! DUBS WIN!!!
Warriors were 17/32 threes, but they were 27/59 twos and only 36 points in paint. As for the Nets, they had 17/43 threes, 28/50 twos, and 50 points in paint. Warriors have shot three pointers well this season, but scoring in the paint or with mid-range is where they have struggled all season long. Warriors shooting this season:
26 in shooting %age (45.4%)
12 in three point %age (37.2%)
26 in two point %age (51.7%)
The only teams that are shooting worse overall this season are the Jazz, Bulls, Blazers, and Grizzlies.
Santos, Quiñonez, and Garuba all looked good tonight. Fun game to watch. It was their destiny to overcome a large deficit and even the score in the 4th.
FYI G league teams are playing the ‘whatchamacallit ending’. Tonight first team to reach 119 won the overtime. Sea Dubs left the Stockton Kings scoreless in OT.
Shout out Andrew Wiggins with great energy out there! He flubbed some layups (so did Steph, Klay, and Saric), but played well and especially brought the energy. Big props to him.
"Still dunk". Honestly, I don't remember Looney EVER dunking before while stationary, under the rim and in traffic. His dunks are generally on the run.
Steph on Podz: “Some of the stuff he does you can’t teach, there’s a feel - being in the right place, anticipating plays, hustle - he’s a master right now of the things you can control in the game of basketball.”
Agreed, but "wish we had Bridges" is like a team in 2016 wishing they had Kawhi. Bridges can help every team, everyone is right to be want him... But only one team can have him.
I mean, sure. Mikal would fill a bunch of holes for the Dubs too - efficient secondary scoring, lockdown defense, young athleticism. He's also a much better player than Claxton. So, porque no los dos?
Claxton is being paid $8.75 million/year and is on an expiring contract. I have a feeling that if he becomes a free agent in the next offseason, he's gonna get a ton of money somewhere.
Including or not including classes? :)

That’s why they call them the ‘Splash Brothers’!
Rating stats per quarter:
- 1st: +5.7 (league rank #9)
- 2nd: +0.1 (#16)
- 3rd: -0.1 (#17)
- 4th: -4.3 (#23)
- OT: -40.9 (#21 out of 23)
Clearly our OGs progressively get tired, I would think.
Dray is the only traditional starter with positive net rating in 4th. Once again, why Dray why?
If they’re getting tired this soon into the season, we might as well pack it up
Well in this case it's because he's played like 10 games, so Dray probably has some fresh legs
What a relief that nobody has been traded or fired after this game :)
Or suspended
Oh just wait till Celtics game buzzer sounds and then again when Denver game buzzer sounds.
What gives - Loon has higher TS% and eFGs than JK? Doesn't match the eye test.
JK took hella wild/bad shots at the beginning of the year too, has slowly been climbing his TS/eFG back up the last few weeks.
Moon only takes enormously easy shots... and still misses a good deal of them.

So, just want to make sure, we can’t still lose this game right? We had more points at the end so we won? Right?! That’s how this works?

HTH
Suggestion for getting better in the third quarter: no more hash brownies at halftime.
brownies at half time wouldn't kick in until mid way in the 4th quarter.
That sounds like the voice of experience :)
I went to college once.
You talking’ to me?
Spoilsport!
Don't want to step on Ando's toes, but I liked the part where Monta Ellis said he was so proud of his son for his grades
I'm Ando, and I approve this message.
Dubs shoot 53% from 3 and have 5 more FTA than the Nets. Strong shooting game but how was that not a blow out?
Offensive rebounds, mostly.
Turnovers
Nets had more TOs…

Thank you for the stats. I kinda meant the question rhetorically, lol.

Congrats to the Sea Dubs for winning their pod, and getting to the Showcase tourney in Vegas.

Also shout out Wiseman. Another solid line with 17/6/5.
Wiseman has been traded.
Yes, but still rooting for the kid
Looney flubbed a couple of layups too but then showed he can still dunk, which was good to see. I was beginning to wonder about that.
"Still dunk". Honestly, I don't remember Looney EVER dunking before while stationary, under the rim and in traffic. His dunks are generally on the run.
You’re right… do they all skip the layup line or something? Wtf…
This. When Looney blew the second layup, I was thinking Kerr needed to send them back to the layup line.

Finally a game where Curry and Thompson both shoot well in the same game! Feels great to watch them win a close game.
I wish we had Claxton.
Claxton’s good don’t get me wrong, but I so desperately want Mikal Bridges.
Agreed, but "wish we had Bridges" is like a team in 2016 wishing they had Kawhi. Bridges can help every team, everyone is right to be want him... But only one team can have him.
Upgrading at center with rim protection and someone that can switch is more important to this team I think
Jk and CP and a pick for NC and MB. Who says no?
I mean, sure. Mikal would fill a bunch of holes for the Dubs too - efficient secondary scoring, lockdown defense, young athleticism. He's also a much better player than Claxton. So, porque no los dos?
To me it's more of how much of an upgrade is wiggs/podz to Mikal compared to how big of an upgrade is looney to Claxton in this instance.
Claxton is being paid $8.75 million/year and is on an expiring contract. I have a feeling that if he becomes a free agent in the next offseason, he's gonna get a ton of money somewhere.
Indeed, and he'll probably get a ton of money if he stays and extends too. But we can dream.
