I just looked through Poole’s shot chart and after adjusting his efficiency to reflect his two last second heaves (that are not really his fault), he ended up at an efficiency of 42% from the field which isn’t that good. With that being said, I still think that overall he played a good game offensively because while he had two hero ball shots, overall he was taking good high efficiency shots within the flow of the offense and they just didn’t fall. The results didn’t reflect it, but the process was generally nice.

Defensively was a different story as the Lakers went 3/6 against him with just extremely poor overall defense.

I really respected and enjoyed Jason's content....but this is a super disappointing and unprofessional tweet considering his reach.

Lakers really do bring out the worst in people.

Ughh damn. My playoff calendar uploaded wrong to my phone and I thought we had a B2B. Glad they get an extra days rest for injuries sake though

I just want to give a quick shout out to Moses Moody, DNHQ's choice in the 2021 draft. 6pts and 4rbs in 10 minutes is a pretty good day at the office for a guy that won't turn 21 for another couple of weeks and the points happened when the outcome was still very much in doubt.

One down, 2 to go. Next game, in their den, please. Nuff said.

Why did Dray only play 30 min? Kerr worried about Dray fouling out?

G6 is gonna be super hard to win. AD is gonna get easy whistles. LeBron is going to trying to go GOAT mode (e.g. hit BS 3s). Their crowd is gonna be nuts. Their whole team is gonna be playing with desperation.

LAL-Grizz G6 repeat worries me

Klay - please find your G6 mojo. It's now or never.

Dray - Watch your fouls and Ts and flagrants

Loon - Go GS-Grizz G6 mode.

Poole - Play cerebral like G5

I better stock up on a lot of sugary products.

Since I matched perfectly the forecast for the first round series, up to game 7, daring homecourt advantage ping-pong included, I think you will be pleased to read my one for the SF:

Game 1 LAL W

Game 2 Dubs W

Game 3 LAL W

Game 4 LAL W - all the commentators recite the De Profundis for us

Game 5 Dubs W

Game 6 Dubs W

Game 7 Dubs W

Off topic, but what's up with Jaylen Brown's facemask? I know some guys wear something like that for protection when they're recovering from a facial injury, but I feel like I haven't seen him without it in like, several months. Is that just his look now?

I can only speculate but reaching the improbably joyous 4th Championship camp on Mount Olympus last season has meant we are indeed in rarified air and it has made weaponizing any joy harder and harder as the expedition climbs on to more oxygen deprived heights.

On top of that, we are chasing only a handful of teams from the "Modern Era" that were able to defend their Title.

Detroit Pistons: 1989, 1990

Chicago Bulls: 1991, 1992, 1993

Massive win and just a really fun game to watch.

Keys:

- Draymond masterpiece, aggressive on offense

- Wiggins also was great on both ends, loved his energy

- Steph with another great floor-game (not a point guard though)

- AD and LeBron wear down over an intense series with heavy mins. Gotta keep pushing the pace.

- Nice GPII and Looney mins

- Klay and Poole were cold from deep again, but their shot selection was a lot better

- Fouls / refereeing didn’t dictate the flow of the game

Am I missing anything?

I liked the way they prevented LeBron from isolating on Curry… it’s like they’ve done it before… pissed they didn’t get it right in G4…

When I was looking at lineup info from the first few games, I noticed that D. Green+Wiggins were always involved in the big runs.

Tonight, I was looking for it, and it seemed even more stark: Wiggs, Dray, and GP2 on: huge plus. Sub those guys out and suddenly things look bad, even with Steph on the floor. Sub one in, looks bettre, stabilized. Back to all three, we push the lead again.

When the Warriors offense doesn't fall apart via turnovers and the defense has those guys at work, it's real good.

I'm hoping the Dubs have a flaming hot game 6 and we can close it out at Chase Center. But for now, I'm just relieved they took care of business.

Did anyone else ponder why Lebron seemed so distracted and incoherent in the postgame interview What does it *mean* when he mumbles and massages his own scalp the whole way through? Does the cryogenic chamber make your head itch? I know he's probably mad as hell and just wants to go home, but Steph and Dray always seem so focused in these pressers. They steer the narrative for the next game. They offer soulful shout-outs to their teammates. They provide soundbites that reverberate. Sometimes we are still quoting them twelve months later (you know the one I mean). I like and respect Lebron, but I think he misses the point of these things. I guess he just leads his team in different ways?
