Kerr baked a cake this year and he used salt instead of sugar and gluten-free flour. Mike Brown is coaching his guys hard, getting in their faces when they do wrong, then pats them on the ass and sends them back in the game while he cheers them on. Kerr pulls a guy out, says, "Go have a seat on the bench and since you may be on the bench for the next week, why don't you have a piece of my special passive-aggressive salty ass untrusting unbelieving no faith hopeless belittling shame blaming cake."

A great team is built on trust. Trust is like gluten and its what binds a team. It is that trust that helped us win 4 Chips. It's trust that the Kings have in each other. And if you play with trust, you can play with joy. But someone mixed up the salt and sugar in the pantry kitchen this year. (Yo, where Dray at?) And every player on this team has had a big bite out of that jaw-locking salty dry ass cake. It's hard to communicate on defense or cheer on your team when your jaw is locked up. Can we get 3 story picture of JK on the side of the Chase Center with him on the bench in game 2 with salty cake face. Our new motto for 2023-2024: Strength in Ingredients.

In Dray's defense, objectively speaking, and knowing he had other options, pushing off the way he did with his right foot was = to the pressure he felt he needed to remove his ankle from Sabonis's grasp. If he's not being held, he can get off of Sabonis with a quick side step without the stomp. So he is gonna fall or he is gonna push off. And man, Draymond just couldn't resist stealing a hot cookie off the cookie tray.

Watched the game back, it wasn't bad at all, curry was off a little bit and the the +10 field goal attempts and +11 free throw attempts for the kings was really the game.

Kings hit their shots at the end of the game while we shot some contested ones and missed, we really need to generate better looks in the curry pick n roll or let him iso to the rim, if kerr is not going to play kuminga we need to use Wiggins and gp2 as the screener more in the small lineups

I also thought Draymond was not all that good, he got some stops but also got cooked at times, offensively he was ass n ruined spacing

Looney was getting cooked at the rim all night

I woke up feeling down this morning.

Just thinking we could up 1-1 if Wigs hits that shot game 1.

Could be 2-0 if the refs didn’t turbo boost the Kings. Game 2.

In game 2 it looked like we were slowed down on Offense by their Box and traps on the ball. That’s what that kind of defense is supposed to do. Raptors did the same to us in that final against them. We lost because of an accumulation of injuries. They also had an unstoppable Kawhi. Even though it looks like we are overwhelmed in yesterday’s game, as good and as clutch as Fox is, I feel Ja Morant was much more of a problem and we beat his team just last year.

On the road and losing two games where we were just a hair short of winning if 1 thing went our way in each game. Thinking about that, I think the King’s will get a wake up call soon. We’re just getting started.

Poole was shook last night. Plays like shit and then smiles and cheeses on the bench like the spotlight is way too big for him. It’s confusing, didn’t he play meaningful minutes just this past finals?

Bob is great but Bob fked up our roster. Steve is great but he fked up with the way he’s played our roster.

Our Core is for sure a step slower, we just have to open our eyes and stop the denial. We need to slow the pace and cut turnovers, I’d go for mixing in more ISOs and PnRs. Save some energy for the defensive side. These Sac guys will not tire before we do, they’re a whole ass 10 years younger than than Steph.

What Draymond did was unnecessary but we were desperate for an answer, for anything. I hope Sabonis gets his Karma because even though I like his skillset as a player his skillset as an asshole and a cheater really puts him in top 5 fkfaces I want us to destroy. We got Villainbrooks, Crybaby Lebron, Cheap Paul 3, and Sadboner that needs to go down and go to cancun.

X-rays on Sabonis' ribs and lungs came back clean. Surprise, surprise. I'm still pissed at that pos. Dray is a hothead, but if his foot hadn't been grabbed, there would be no need to stomp.

Timpf on the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLO0Z6WrrJw

He makes a great point about rim pressure and athleticism. It's been a problem all season - not enough rim pressure from non all-time great players, not enough athleticism.

Honestly, JK is the answer, but he doesn't seem ready, and Kerr seems more than unwilling to play him.

Here's Lillard tweet and his take on what happened last night:

Take foul on Sabonis … I didn’t think Dray tried to step down … that’s just how his balance ended up 🤷🏽‍♂️…

The game is full of fouls that are flat-out cheating, but only occasionally is there a cheating foul that is also dangerous. Sabonis could very easily have injured Draymond's ankle, knee or back. I see this one as "breaking the code" and completely forgive Dray for allowing his foot to come down a bit harder than it really needed to. I doubt that Sabonis was badly hurt (no cleats on those shoes!) and was skeptical about his extended prostration on the court and X-ray histrionics. At the same time I get that the league has learned to come down very hard on anything that looks remotely hot-headed, so who knows what they will do? The bottom line is that for me Sabonis has blown whatever moral high ground the Kings might have claimed. I really, really hate dangerous cheating. (For comparison, if there was anything deliberate about Zaza stepping under Kawhi's landing then I'd rather we didn't win the championship that year. )

Shaq: "I would have done the same thing. Don't be grabbing me, because what am I gonna do? If I just try to run forward I'll fall. You gotta get him up off you... And if you're in the way, you might get stomped on."

So scale of 1-5, what's your panic level?

1) Warriors easily win this series once they settle down and get home.

2) Warriors win, but it might go 7 and be a squeaker

3) Fuck, man, I don't know. This team might not get out of the first round. Those road woes were real.

4) Kings seem to own the Dubs right now. If nothing significant changes, Dubs will likely lose.

5) Dynasty is done. Kings take it in 5.

Probably wouldn't have been stepped on if you didn't fall from trying to tackle Klay, Sabonis.

W's have looked completely lost for large swaths of both games, the Kings have been getting "Fox is HIM" bullshit and sabonis got in Drays head. Brown knows all of Kerr's pet plays and the Kings are overplaying those sets.

Despite that, the W's nearly won both games against a LOUD Golden One crowd. It goes without saying they need to win Thursday and Sunday. If they do, does anyone think they stand no chance of stealing a game on the road?

Pop quiz, hotshot:

It's 2023, you're down 0-2, you've just discovered the Kings actually play defense, your second best player is probably out for the next game, and even Sandra Bullock is checking out Domantas Sabonis' ass.

What do you do? What do you do?
