Lions are in their 49ers era. Not good enough.

Expand full comment

I mean they also lost like 22 defensive players to IR lol. Might be relevant when they give up 45 points

Expand full comment

yeah, playoff success definitely needs better defense than in the regular season

Fair.

E1P! E1P! E1P! Winning streak! (Okay, 2 games but still.)

Fun watching POOLE HERO BALL...in a losing effort...lol...Meantime, we slip back IN FOR PLAY-IN, NUMBER 10....

Yo… Wiggins is balling out this year. Great to see it!

Expand full comment

Yep...always thought he would be OK, even when lots of folks in here were trashing him for trade along with KLAY, others...glad KERR/FO stuck by him during his almost 2 years of personal trial...dynamite 2-way player...will never forget the defense he played on TATUM/KELTS during our last 'Ship run....ALWAYS WAS ELITE and along with DRAY/LOONS/KLAY the core of our defense....

Hawks are 6-1 against the top teams of the East: 2-1 vs. Celtics, and 2-0 each vs. the Knicks and the Cavs. They are very good against great teams, but also awful against bad teams. They're also not so good against West teams.

New CBA screwed us so hard… we’d have DDV and Ty Jerome on this team, man…

That was the old CBA screwing us

>>>The Warriors' main area of focus entering the trade deadline is their frontcourt, sources told @ClutchPoints.

Nikola Vucevic, Jonas Valanciunas, Myles Turner, Kelly Olynyk, Chris Boucher, Robert Williams III, and John Collins are all options this front office has discussed.<<<

Would take Vuc, Turner, Time Lord or Collins.

Expand full comment

There is 0 chance of getting Myles Turner. Prove me wrong, MDJ. Prove me wrong.

Expand full comment

Please give us a starting center, MDJ. My poor soul struggles to deal with all those smoked layups.

Expand full comment

Didn't they just said this same thing like 2 weeks ago? I'll believe it when something happens. Jonas and Collins are not good targets imo

Expand full comment

Kinda agree, and Myles Turner is probably too expensive in terms of trade value. Of the rest, I'd prefer Olynyk or Vucevic, but I'd also still like to see Isaiah Stewart bring some hard-nosed intensity to the Warriors eventually. I guess the dream of getting Naz Reid is officially dead after the KAT trade.

It’s like they read DNHQ

LOL, yeah, it only took about a year or two for folks to start talking the need for a BONA-FIDE BIG as a priority...we still got DS first...lol...totally sold on SMALLBALL, all game, for several years, though it had been used most-effectively in quarters in the past...

Expand full comment

Val looked very mid. Not a difference maker. Not better than Looney.

Expand full comment

Kinda disagree, he was a big part of why the Wizards got so many open threes. He kept drawing help inside leaving JP/Kispert/George open at the 3.

Here to join the celebration. Gotta take advantage of these opportunities when they come along in 2025.

Poole talking to the team right after the game

Expand full comment

I'll take a Poole party in a win. Especially a live one. I kinda wanted him to drop 40 on us in a Wiz loss, cause I still kinda like the kid.

Expand full comment

Just like the 1st Klay game

Expand full comment

Difference is KLAY became the best 2-way SG in the league...even post-injury, he still plays good defense....experience helps, and he is now also a solid passer/set-up man...he still delivers for MAVS though he is underutilized with the LUKA/KYRIE GUARD LINEUP and not in a SG ROLE...MOSTLY PLAYS SF....

Expand full comment

I'm with you. I still dream about what might have been had Draymond (and possibly some of the other vets) not gotten irritated with JP but helped him become a true pro, and Poole been a little less full of himself. I know the guy is no defensive specialist, but this team STILL needs someone who can create his own shot and wants the ball, and Poole has that stuff big time.

Expand full comment

I liked him also, a lot; he had all the goods. PROBLEM WAS he entered a HOF DYNASTIC CORE 'SHIP TEAM ''bold before June'' as we called PLEBES at West Point who thought they were IT and did not respect the UPPERCLASSES before they paid their dues and made it through the 1st year and RECOGNITION DAY in JUNE....he yapped his mouth with the wrong HOFmer in DRAY...too bad and glad he is doing well....bygones...he, too, once a WARRIOR, ALWAYS A WARRIOR, and, he earned that ring on his finger during our run...

Expand full comment

I thought Kevon Looney was an incredible factor this game and especially important down the stretch to finish the game with a victory.

Expand full comment

BINGO. The last 'SHIP Team still very capable; too bad we lost KLAY, but holding on to hope the FO will fix that before season's end...

Expand full comment

It would be nice to have JP instead of Buddy.

Throw all the darts you want, Poole is a much better player.

Expand full comment

Similar impact players. Difference is Buddy can be benched when not playing well and only costs 9m

Expand full comment

Also Buddy may not be a great defender but he has been better than I expected and way better than Poole.

Expand full comment

My only point is that JP was crucial to winning in 22. He gave us a dimension that we are severely lacking now, warts and all, money and all. He sent us a clear reminder last game.

Buddy has been a better defender and actually better driver than expected, but his 3 point shooting has been worse than expected, which is kind of ironic.

Maybe something happens and he shoots it more consistently which would make him a real difference maker more often. What is the Warriors record when he scores 18 or more?

I am rooting for Buddy because he seems like a really good guy, but I am not holding my breath.

Expand full comment

I think we’re now 11-0 when Buddy scores 18. And your points are well taken.

Expand full comment

TRUE, but I will still take POOLE's torrid offense if we don't get KLAY back...

Expand full comment

Well. One makes $9m and the other $29m

Expand full comment

Other than that, Ms Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?

Expand full comment

Celtics only played 8 guys in their OT loss to the Hawks, with 3 guys playing 40+ and 3 others playing 30+.

Expand full comment

Wizards and Wolves each played eight guys against us. Who do they think the Warriors are? A playoff team?

Expand full comment

Playoffs?!?!?!

Expand full comment

So what are thoughts on trading for Gafford

Expand full comment

Why would the Mavs trade him? I can't think of a reason.

Expand full comment

theyre open to trading him for a perimeter defender apparently

Expand full comment

Wow, that surprises me considering the combination of Gafford and Lively was so good for them last season.

Expand full comment

We need guys who can stretch the floor, and Gafford ain't it.

Expand full comment

Not exactly a stretch 5. Maybe a little more talented than TJD and Loon but not worth disrupting the squad and having to give something up to get him.

Expand full comment

They would want Wiggs

Expand full comment

Most we would offer is gp2

Expand full comment

Frankly, I think KERR/FO will move every stone to keep GP2...he is an X-FACTOR....

I liked the part where they won the game.
