As soon as the game started. I realized why the Lakers are a good team to start our bigger lineup against… with AD, LeBron, and Hachimura starting, they’re really big. It’s fair to match up with that size.
The Warriors, Celtics, and Jazz have played 5 preseason games, while 5 teams have only played two. The Lakers play a road B2B @PHX on Thurs, then @GSW Fri… preseason is weird…
JK got blown by a couple of time, then played decent defense on LeBron for a few minutes. Missed his 3s... BUT, somehow he took it right at AD at least 3 times and laid it in against on of the best defenders in the league. That was impressive. And his floor game looked good, with a couple of nice drive and dishes, although one was a turnover, it was absolutely not his fault.
MM another tremendous game, therefore he took away continuity doubts to the possible reasons to keep him out. Can someone with a fancy stat database at hand tell me how many games with +/- and points double double he had in his career? We might ave a quite eccentric but solid record here. Anyway that's it now. Moody at two.
The team play is getting better and better. Considering the young average age, the future team possible ceiling is skyrocketing
OK. But it was the Lakers. But our 3 pt shooting generally returned to earth and we still won comfortably. Slow Mo had his first good game with us as well.
Can’t tell if this fun little preseason anticipates a solid regular season for the new build Dubs (and maybe a crack at the PlayIns or a first round Playoff series?), or just a showcase for potential trades with zero bearing on how this team will actually emerge by the trade deadline.
The whole "Who could possibly replace Klay?" question that is a perennial on sports shows seems pretty easy. We're looking for someone who can play the 2, defend well, hit threes but also attack the rim at times and hit the occasional midrange.
He’s the average global height for a man, which is by far the most efficient size for human male athletes in ‘real’ sports (endurance running, climbing, etc) that don’t rely on human anomalies in height and weight, and small orthogonal planes instead of actual terrain.
I like Hield and he's been better than I expected. I also love GP2 and he had the ideal GP2 game tonight.
On a fully healthy team, neither of them should be ahead of Moody in the rotation. I mean, I think Moody should start, but that's not going to happen, so I only hope that he gets regular playing time.
Nice to see GP2 healthy. He's a weapon that can change a game in a 2-3 minute stint. I'm sure he's still considered a rotation player by Kerr as long as he's healthy.
Really, really excited for this Warriors team. The rotation's going to be wonky with so many NBA players on roster, but there's enough quality depth that they might actually be able to get away with giving Steph and Draymond days off and half-days off. Big problem last year towards the end of the season was Steph wearing down and getting exhausted, imo. This year they should be able to feel pretty confident in giving Steph days off without putting their playoff positioning in jeopardy.
A replacement of Kerr might allow it. That starting lineup tonight was boring and predictable. Add in our new guys and we have something different, at last. But will it come to pass?
Lindy had a rough shooting game, and a number of times he was open and nobody passed to him. A couple of times he brought the ball up and had enough space to immediately put up a 3 but passed it off. Not his night.

This team is looking really good… either they’re giving way more effort than their opponents, or they’re going to be really good defensively

Wiggins rusty, and I expected it.

Moody at the 2, JK at the 3? w/Curry, Green, and TJD?
Wiggins off the bench behind Hield and Anderson?
I'm just some dude, and I approve this message.

Shooting wise, but Slo Mo has helped a lot in stabilizing our attack and defense. Ball control, point forward activities. He's done a lot already.
I actually meant passing and defense. He hit a couple of 3s against Sacramento but didn't seem to impact the game.

Introducing Moses "Klay Who?" Moody.
Melton as well.
And Podzie
5”8 Yuki Kawamura is such a fun player to watch. He’s thrown some dimes this preseason. I can tell he watched a lot of Jason Kidd
I loved him in the Olympics but I don't know how you can tell he watched Jason Kidd. That's next level.

Plus, Yuki is pretty dope on the court.

And, why do you think he won't start?

D is his reason to be.

He needed today off. The bench helped stabilize this game and win it.
Bronny is 2/16 (0-7 from 3) with 4 pts and 5 turnovers in 44 mins in the preseason....yikes
Bronny sucks.
He'll come around. I predict by midseason he'll EASILY be hitting 3/16 with 4 turnovers, in the G League.
I just kinda feel sorry for that kid.
He's going to the GL as soon as their season starts.
Wonder if he's good enough to get minutes in the G League, surname notwithstanding
Shooting guard who doesn't/can't shoot. What more could they want?
It's fine with me!😎
The SB Lakers coach might be told to play him, whether he earns it or not, at least for awhile.
Moody was 5/7 on threes. Combined, Steph, Hield, Dray, Wiggs, and JK were 5/33.
Moody is gonna shoot himself into a solid contract with another team that will play him real minutes, and that makes me happy.
#FreeMoody
I'll be happy for Moses, but I'm sad for the Warriors. I just don't understand why he isn't a regular rotation guy at the very least.
Looks like Moody has earned his way out of Siberia. Kerr may regret not bringing him off ice last year...better late than never.
Still only got 19 minutes tonight, with the Dubs missing both Podz and Melton. Not sure what, if anything, will allow Kerr to get Moody more minutes
A replacement of Kerr might allow it. That starting lineup tonight was boring and predictable. Add in our new guys and we have something different, at last. But will it come to pass?
Kerr ain’t budging
Kerr to Moody: It's not you. It's other guys who suck at shooting.
Gotta cut Lindy Waters for allowing Bronny to score his first NBA points on him
Luckily, it was Bronny's 2nd basket
Even worse! He let him score AGAIN!
Lindy had a rough shooting game, and a number of times he was open and nobody passed to him. A couple of times he brought the ball up and had enough space to immediately put up a 3 but passed it off. Not his night.
Promising to see Buddy have a pretty awful game offensively but still managed to be +16
Celtics LOST. Woohoo!
Going to hit like crazy when we beat Boston in 6 again
