Some Steph love to Mike Breen. "Double Bang" 7 years ago (That's right SEVEN!)

Wow... this stat line describes Wiseman so perfectly it's pretty funny. All the talent in the world but he hasn't figured out how to stay on the floor whether its because of injuries or poor decision making.

Bad choices for me this week, watched the Lakers game (boo) and was on an airplane during the Rockets (yay). Maybe I’ll watch the game later today for lazy grins.

So this is where we are: the season hinges on Klay getting hot enough times to keep us in the playoffs, or at least the play in. What percent of games does he light the flamethrower? More than half? Crap, I hope so.

It's getting to a point where I'm somewhat shocked when PBJ misses a 3. We don't know yet if this is the norm or he's just having an exceptionally good 3pt shooting year as a rookie. I can't wait to see him expand his game to a point where Kerr will trust him enough to have him put the ball on the floor and try to make plays.

Can’t decide if that was a good win or not… on a SEGABABA missing our top 3 players and winning comfortably (in the end) is great. But it took Klay hitting 12 3s, against a tanking team with ~0 shooters, so our defense was simple, and it never felt comfortable till they took Klay out…

Great win for our bench. Klay's 12th 3pter places him solidly into 2nd place, behind Hield, for the NBA season 3pt title. At the rate Klay is going he may run him down with 20 and a butt games left.....

It was great seeing Moody and PBJ get rotation minutes today. You can tell their teammates were happy for them as well. Enjoyed seeing the bench encourage PBJ on the defensive end.

So I was lucky and my friend's company got us tickets to the Kings-Clippers game (in LA), aka the 2nd highest scoring game in NBA history!

Highlights:

- There was a healthy contingent of Kings fans that made the game more fun.

- We had excellent seats right behind the player's table. A couple times Mike Brown got exasperated at the King's defensive breakdowns, and turned around to us and said, "That was Bull Shit!"

- Seeing familiar faces: Leandro Barbosa, Harrison Barnes. But also seeing Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Russel Westbrook, all these fabled names that we've been following for a decade now. I still don't like Dellavodva, but admittedly he was a very good team cheerleader on the bench.

- After one of Monk's 3's during their 4th quarter comeback (sadly not the game-tying 3), Malik Monk gave us a head nod when he got back to our side of the court

- Seeing Mike Brown call head tap twice

- Seeing the coaches yell out changes in defensive schemes and double teams.

- This game was clearly an anomaly scoring wise, but my gosh it's been so long since I've watched a game where the players score so effortlessly. The Clippers' 3 pt shooting (66.7%) was stupid.

- Overall, I'd have to say the Clippers are the more consistent team. The Kings are a bit more erratic, with head scratching defensive breakdowns leading to open 3's. The Kings also made more flat out ugly shots/possessions, that kept them in the game and ultimately helped them win, and I don't know how reliable that is. But the clippers also had their own share of brain farts and turnovers that lost them a 12-13 pt lead in the 4th quarter.

Got to watch the game from 11 rows up tonight!

Thoughts:

Klay is infinitely better at shooting form than any other player out there tonight.

Sengun’s “footwork” is a joke. The refs were very kind to him. Not sure the Rockets put any actual NBA players on the floor tonight.

Looney was the other guy that clearly was a man among boys.

Poole stepping into a buzzer beater is a good shot. Poole side stepping into a buzzer beater is a terrible shot.

Did I mention Klay was by far the best player on the court? He’d keep his eyes moving on D when he was on ball and as soon as they sent a screen his way he’d leap into action moving to make the path around the screen go away from the basket instead of flat or towards it. His anticipation on D is >>>>>> than Poole’s.

Poole hustled on D but sometimes he’s just running behind the guy and he’s not even going for a rebound, not sure if it’s a misguided attempt to funnel the guy to the help or what.

Klay hit 12 3’s and the crowd was loudest for him from the introduction to the final timeout.

The Rockets were selling out to cut off cuts into the paint until Klay turned on the torch. Then they had multiple guys leave a wide open cutter at the rim to stick with Klay. Gravity.

Kings next games are against the Thunder twice on 2/26 and 2/28. Then they face the Clippers in Sacramento on 3/3.

Clippers will face the Nuggets in Denver on 2/26, Wolves on 2/28 in LA, and Kings on 3/3.

Give it up for PBJ tonight - got some real minutes and looked good out there. Got cooked a couple of times on D when no one came over to help.
