Anyone watching the Clippers beat the Suns?

Lakers have 13 rebounds (5 off.) and Grizzlies have only 9 (1 off.). Not having Adams and Clarke is hurting the Grizzlies on the glass big time.

Watched the game with friends at a sports bar. Never doing that again. Place was so loud, I couldn't focus on the game. Seems like a lot of people go to mostly socialize/get drunk and not actually watch. To make matters worse, the broadcast cut off with a minute or so left in the game. WHAT?! I'm probably just irritated that we lost. Anyway, glad I can come to this place to get perspective on how the game went. I thought our guys played hard, refs were allowing a lot of physicality (on Steph Curry) until they weren't (on Fox and Monk). But yeah, would've like to see more drives to the basket. More Kuminga. I think Kerr is holding Kuminga back. Yep, I said it.

Despite the loss, I had fun watching the game. The way I look at it, the home team gets 5-10 points, depending on the refs. Not really 'fair,' but should be expected at this point. Kerr's mistakes usually cost us another 5-10 if he's having an off-game. Despite that, we lost by 1 possession. The offensive rebound issue may never be fixed this season, which may cost us sooner or later, but it's still very early.

During the peak dynasty, the Warriors swept the 1st round only twice (2015, 2017). However, they have never won the title after losing two (or more) games in the first round (in the 4-series era - they did lose 2 in 1975). Despite this, I still think the Warriors win in 6 (maybe 5). Game 1's are notoriously crazy (Finals last year . . .), and the Kings had so much energy from their 1st playoff game in well over a decade. The 2nd half of next game will probably determine the series: Big Kings win = Warriors in big trouble; close Kings win = dogfight, probably 7 games; close Warriors win, I'm probably right and it's going to be a tight Warriors series win but ultimately not go to 7; big Warriors win and Kings might not win another game. Either way, great game, and should be a great series. Congrats to the Kings on a big win.

Did anyone else see something odd on that “All In” sign? In the bottom left corner are the signatures of the reffing crew.

I still don’t understand how we put up so many 3’s in the 4th when we were in the bonus halfway in. Maybe all those missed FTs in the 3rd. Also, I’m beginning to worry that our 6th man of the year award is going to “Turn Over”.

Start Wiggins, play him starter minutes, and we win. Subtract the minutes from DDV.

SOLVED.

Next series, please.

Gee, I thought we wouldn't have this problem since they're, you know, all from Northern CA.

Let's not forget that whistle in the fourth was ridiculous, curry getting slammed, no calll but Damm near every possession by the kings the last four minutes ended with a whistle

I'm not over it. Last night I was pretending to myself and others that I am optimistic moving forward, but I am not over it. I feel woeful. You know when you have a flu that's bad and you logically know that it's going to get better in a few days, but you certainly don't feel better knowing that? I have that illness, whatever it's called. What is it called? Anyway, send soup.

It may be my fault having spent the weekend at Northwestern, big purple and white fanatics. I won’t do that again.

Before the game, my youngest brother texted my other brother and me:

“feel like the kings are gonna have a lot of energy and the arena’s gonna be nuts. won’t be bummed with a game 1 loss. our experience can win out in a longer series.”

We both agreed. So I feel like in a way, things went as expected.

Kerr always plays the long game - and it is irritating - but it almost always works out in the end.

- Not leaving Steph in to finish 3rd so that we can add to 10 pt lead, because he wants Steph to be fresh, not only for this series but for all of playoffs.

- Having Wiggs close 4th: besides defensive reasons, he is thinking about getting Wiggs up to speed pronto.

Let's just hope we don't end up losing the series while game planning to win it all.

Days prior to the start of the series, people underestimated the Kings because of their poor defense and long drought of playoff experience whereas people overestimated the Warriors because of their playoff/championship pedigree. It may just have been the first game but the Kings looked like they wanted it more. They were more aggressive and showed why they are number 1 in offense. I hope our coaches and players have an answer for game two. We need at least one road game win.

Watching the highlights, ddv got torched by fox and monk, going to need more kuminga I think he'll do better on monk and leave Wiggins and gp2 on fox, we also played drop coverage all night for what I can tell, kuminga and Wiggins guarding ball would allow us to switch everything then send help on the sabonis mismatch

I only got nervous when the broadcast showed the "All In" sign posted with everyone's signature on the Kings. It's not the talent I am afraid of, it's the belief, the belief they have in their selves and the trust in their teammates. Given the troubles the Dubs have had this year with trust & vibe and uncertainty in the future (Dray, Meyers, who will survive the salary cap crunch, count the timelines, etc.), I wonder if this will turn out to be a factor in the series. We will inevitably resolve to find basketball reasons for a team winning or losing a series. The Dubs have pedigree and believe in the inevitability of success based on what they have done in the past. The Kings have belief in NOW, and a lot more of it today than they did 24 hours ago. How long can the Warriors 'culture' withstand the onslaught of personal agendas and personality issues that arrive in the locker room like junk mail, uninvited, unwanted, yet never ending. This is the series I am watching. I don't think the Dubs get anywhere without truly shaking off the past and staring Sacramento's true believers in the face. I know the Dubs believe in who they were in the past. I want to see who they believe they are today. Did they accidentally pack some question marks from the regular season on the I-80 bus ride? Is there any doubt? If they can face that enemy, they can face the big purple one that is beaming at this particular moment.
