The Golden State Warriors managed to hold off a shockingly strong late push from the Sacramento Kings tonight. It wasn’t always pretty, but that’s how life goes sometimes. Stephen Curry put up 15 points in the 4th quarter to seal the game, on his way to a solid 30-point night.
I know the Kings were extremely short-handed, but this was still a game that could have slipped away without that nasty combo of Warriors defense and Curry offense. Not to short change the rest of the Dubs though - Otto Porter’s defense and shooting were huge, as was Gary Payton’s…everything.
Love this team!

I’m sure my colleagues will be back in the morning with a more detailed breakdown, but this was a really nice win. Just tight enough to keep it interesting, but it always felt like the game was over as soon as Curry checked back into the game… and then sure enough, he went crazy in the 4th.
Also, shoutout to Draymond Green. Another triple double, and another example game for exactly how critical he has been to the team’s success.
The Warriors have a bit of a break and don’t play against until Thursday, when they take on Ja Morant’s Memphis Grizzlies.
