Draymond punching Poole really forced Bob and Lacob to pay Poole. I mean Poole is cocky and needs to get humbled but his play this season would’ve humbled himself anyways. If that punch never happened we could’ve easily saved 10mill or more a year off of Poole contract. He really sucked this playoff series, that shit hurts his value for sure. DDV if he keeps this up he’ll need to accept next year’s player’s option. Man at this point Tyus Jones looks to be a better player than Poole. Malik Monk’s crusty looking ass does too. JMG is close to out of this league unless a young team just wants a vet on the roster. Iggy please join the coaching or player’s staff next season, leave our roster spots alone my legend.

Curry isn’t the same anymore. He’s slower and fatigues faster. He can’t run around defenders in circles as often as he once did, at least not all game anymore. We need to change up our game plan moving forward. My man is 36 next season, I see him being able to play into his 40s because of his skillset but his defense will decline eventually and at the point where his defense becomes unplayable he’ll be playing fewer minutes. It will become a reality one day and I hope we prepare for it. We need to build the team around him better to accommodate these things. I really don’t give a fk about the 2 timeline plan everyone can go besides Steph. Poole isn’t even that likeable to become the face of our franchise moving forward. If we do have another face of the franchise post Steph, I’m pretty sure it won’t be Poole.

Is Ty Jerome eligible to play - he will be way better than Poole - I dont want to see that guy on the court anymore this series.

nope he isn’t on the roster

and, frankly, he shouldn't be; you never want to bring in a rookie to run your team in the playoffs...no doubt, Poole lost his mind out there....

Game 7 tomorrow is going to have huge TV ratings - everyone outside DUB nation going to tune in expecting to see the demise - not going to happen - I hope STEPH puts up a legendary performance for the nation, to yet again, see the best basketball player

He's averaging 30 points at 35, so he is already is delivering legendary performance this playoffs, as is bionic Klay....no reason those guys won't continue to deliver 50+ if we play DUB BALL/move ball around, run transition, get back after scores, and freakin play with a controlled fast pace....

It is hard to beat a good team FOUR straight. But it is also hard to beat a champion TWO straight. We will see...

I knew winning two or three in a row would be tough as is. Was hoping the Dubs would've been able to use crowd energy and the fact that role players are supposed to be better at home to will them. Didn't happen, so gotta bounce back Sunday.

Problem is, this champion/Team lost critical EXPERIENCED bench PLAYERS from the BACKCOURT and FRONTCOURT, and failed to replace them with players with equal fit, talent, and experience. Not to mention losing Brown....nevermind the don't-have-a-clue-crowd-related ⚡....

Let’s credit Brown and his assistants. He’s really stoked the fight in his young charges and not in that sickening Grizzlies kind of way.

They are out-foxing us...sitting Len AND Sabonis to get Davis guarding Steph and small balling us to the rim every time, is exploiting weakness. Meanwhile, our answer to Davis, GP2, did not get enough PT on FOX to foul out/got 1 PF.

I’d hate to see this team if they still had Halliburton

Yep...adding 6'5'' Haliburton's 50-40-90 and 20pts/10assists ON THE BACK COURT with FOX, would have been something to see....or, hate to see....lol

My heart breaks that we are so fickle with our support. Just 24 hours ago we were largely proclaiming how we will easily find a path to the Western Conference Finals. Now it's all doom and gloom. I get it that we played horribly. But it is a game and sometimes it is just not your day. Now that it is Game 7 and perhaps the whole core on line (we all know that if they lose here the core most likely will disintegrate) I will believe that they know how to pull out something special, even though their bones are creaking and their muscles weary. The game is at 1:30 AM (well-past midnight India time) and I will be watching and cheering them as they inevitably win. I believe. And no matter how much the sadness at the game 6 loss I will never give up hope so easily. There have been worse losses (remember the Memphis blowout last year) but we found a way. And even if they fail I will not give up hope till there is nothing to fight for. I implore you to not give in to the natural anger at such outcomes. All the best to all of you!! And this wonderful team!

Dip, you think a true fan can only be optimistic? There are also pessimistic/realistic fans, and with this roller coaster season it might be best to embrace all types of fandom. See you at 3:30am Philipines time. I expect a huge lead where we can all celebrate another ring, and then we'll fall way behind proving the entire season was a failure. And then a painful random ending.

Dip, you’ve got to allow for our family dinner theater. We are all different psychologically and temperamentally. We all cope with potential disappointment in our own ways. I mostly try to stick to sarcasm. We all 💕 them Warriors and in this rather unique forum, one another as well.

Expand full comment

The Warriors could still win game 7 but the pessimism comes from the fact that the Warriors' performance has been lackluster all season and aside from not winning much, the team didn't really do much to develop Kuminga, Moody, and PBJ either.

I have a slightly different perspective than yours. While the development of young talent is important, what is even more important in my view is finding the chance to win. There are 30 teams and only 1 wins each year. There are many rookies, some good, others maybe not as good. Only a few can be greats and even fewer can be all-time greats like Curry. To have a core like we have is what all franchises will die for .... not 1, or 2, or 3, but more championships and team members who have stuck together for so long. It is not just rare, it is almost like winning the billion-dollar lottery. On top of it these are generally great role models, and have given an identity to this sport beyond national borders (I am one of the many international followers). So yes I do believe it is important to develop new talent, but.... in my opinion... even more important to give a shot to these guys to extend this run. If we have leaned more towards win now rather than development, it is a price we must pay to enjoy such exquisite offering. No offence, this is just a point of view!

I don't think we are far apart, my point is that since the young guys didn't get much court time and the Warriors were prevented by the cap from spending a lot on bench guys, they are now in the playoffs with only 8 players that Kerr trusts to play, Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Green, Looney, GPII, JP, and DDV and maybe he shouldn't be trusting the later 2.

Some great perspective there. Thank you for sharing.

I have no answers, just predicting that he’s going for the Draymond energy up front in the team’s best lineup.

I'm ready to start the 2nd timeline and start JP, GPII, Moody, Kuminga, and PBJ for the 1st 2 or 3 minutes of every quarter in what could be the Warriors last game this season. Then the OG lineup of Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Green, and Looney comes in to finish each quarter. But then I don't have to worry about losing my job as a coach.

I think your point is correct in general - try and keep the minutes for steph klay and dray as low as possible going into the second half - that might determine this game - younguns HAVE to STEP UP

Had to be feeling like that was a must win game that they just blew a golden opportunity. It’s one thing to get simply outplayed but to come out with that effort and to get outplayed is disappointing to say the least.

Can we win a game 7? For sure. But I’ll have to say this is the least confident I’ve been given our extreme lack of depth.

Expand full comment

Lack of depth combined with the OGs age - even with a poor lack of depth, this OG group, younger, I would have been confident - but not now!

Expand full comment

It was a golden opportunity, but I still have confidence in the Dubs. Steve will make his adjustments, but I also hope he sticks to whoever is playing well that day. Mike B made his adjustments; Davis only played in two games before this one for a total of 12 minutes, played 19 last night. Keegan Murray who couldn't average twenty mins in the first two games, played about 40 non garbage mins last night. It came back around for some of his players who had a hard time earlier in the series. Plus he just rode with who was playing the best for them last night. Moody is bringing you energy and effort (what the team needed), he played about 12 non garbage minutes. 10 mins for GP2. Wiggins should be the freshest of them all, and is in his twenties, why isn't he at least logging the same amount of minutes as Steph? If you need stops, and Dray is foul trouble, why are Wiggs and GP2 on the bench with him? There may be a lack of depth, but if the Dubs distributed the mins better, they could cover it.

Expand full comment

We need to play focused, keep it close and anticipate some nerves from their youngsters as they try to finish us off. If we’re sloppy or shoot too many long range prayers in the first half I’m not expecting any miracles in the 2nd. Golden One will surely be a Shakespearean backdrop for this showdown, comedy or tragedy.

I’ll bet Mike Brown would rather have had Halliburton than Sabonis going forward.

Shaq and RJ predicted that Kings will win G6. What are their predictions about G7?

Expand full comment

I knew the Dubs would come out sloppy, but I thought they'd pull it together in the 2nd half; instead, they got sloppier. Lot of good shots missed, rebounds not collected, shooters left wide open in the corners. On offense we couldn't get anything at the rim to go.

I think the refereeing didn't help us this game. It wasn't actually bad—of course some missed calls, including a few in our favor—but it was hard to get anything at the rim because most contact was not being called, except pass-and-crash charges. In a game where outside shots wouldn't hit, that was not good for us.

I don't exactly feel good about a game in Sac that starts early, but the media and social media both tend to overreact so much to the most recent game every time. We went from braggadocio to doom and gloom so fast, let's take a moment to appreciate that the Warriors are a pretty good team with a lot of playoff experience but the Kings are also a good team and the outcome of a given game is not so certain. It's going to take focus, effort, vs and yes, a little luck to win game 7.

I agree with everything you said but few things give me grief:

- We are 6 deep, if that

- Steph is playing on tired mind and body

- Dray will get in foul trouble quickly banging against Sabonis. We are not getting friendly whistles for sure

I feel like it's more mental tiredness than physical tiredness for our guys. Physical as well for Steph for sure.

Why does Malik Monk who is listed at 6’3 and Terrence Davis listed at 6’4 look so much bigger than that.

Game 7 you gotta do something funny like play Steph or Wiggins for 48 mins. We gotta go all in, this could very well be our last dance with this core. You don’t want to have left things on the table like how Grayson Allen did last night. If we get bounced out either one of Green or Poole could be shipped this off season. Most likely Poole if we can find a deal. Green has a player option for next season so it makes it more difficult to figure something out for him.

Yeah. That was nuts that we couldn't score over their small ball. Couldn't punish them at all for going small.
