Scheduling note: the Pels and Spurs (our last two opponents) still nominally have HCA in their #9-10 game to play for, but there’s a chance neither will have anything to play for by the time they face the Warriors. The Pels need to win one more game to sew up #9; and their game on Saturday starts two and half hours before Warriors-Spurs.
Kinda think Pop and Willie Green will have them playing hard either way, but it’s always a little harder to get up for a meaningless game.
I don’t feel bad for Bazemore, but I neither loved him as much as some of you all, nor hated so much for him leaving to the Lakers. But damn, getting the fewest minutes played last night despite the very short Lacker rotation. That’s gotta burn. $$ Millions are not a bad consolation.
Is there consensus on who we would rather beat in the first round? Seems we will need to beat both suns and Memphis to win the ring, not sure I care which order.
A new take on Poole. Should we stop thinking about water and splash bros and all that and start thinking billiards? He could be called '3-Ball' and announcers can have fun like '3-Ball in the Corner pocket', 'Poole with the bank shot.' Etc.
So let's all take this moment to once again remember that Bazemore left years and money on the table to go play with the Lakers for more minutes and a better chance at a championship.
I feel like the nuggets shouldn't be a scary team to play but damn they somehow are at 48-33 with monte Morris, will Barton, and Aaron Gordon around jokic. That is not a good lineup
If Iggy and Looney are both standing within one foot of the rim with a defender within four feet, and putting up shots, how many miles will a train traveling 30 miles an hour go before a bucket is scored?
Mid-season I was hugely enjoying the increased minutes for Kuminga, with his rookie mistakes and all. He brings dynamism that few in the league can match. To watch him apparently lose Kerr's faith is making me forlorn.
I legit thought someone was gonna get hurt by Lakers flailing fouls. GPII, Draymond, Poole, and OPJ all came up wincing. Phew.
Gary Payton II tells Kent Bazemore that he’s TOO LITTLE 💪

Having locked up top seed in the East, does Miami rest the starters against Atlanta?
(I can dream.)

Damn I'm bored.
So many positives right now, Klay's shot selection is back, Andre looks super energetic, the second unit is gelling. Wiggins back to solid.
John Wall could teach this Lakers team a lot. If it ain't workin', just sit down.

OT, Sabrina style:
Scottie Barnes has been really impressive.
@NBACanada
Scottie Barnes is the first rookie since Luka Dončić and only the 22nd rookie in NBA history to average over 15 PTS, 7 REB & 3 AST in a season! 👏🔥
Every rookie to achieve that over the last 10 seasons has won ROTY.

Math problem:

I loved the shade Reggie was throwing at the Lakers during the broadcast. He wasn't pulling many punches.
I think Warriors made THT look really good tonight so that the Lakers front office will build the team around him.
