Draymond Green on Jordan Poole: "I'm not sure he's going back to the second unit... That isn't an easy decision to make... Just because Steph comes back doesn't mean you completely take the ball out of Jordan's hands."
Steve will have some hard decisions to make, because who are you benching? If he's on a mins restriction, then Steph will come off the bench in the beginning, but eventually he won't. You take out Wiggs, who mostly guards the best perimeter player? Steve seems tied back to Loon & Dray to start for defense and rebounds. Looking at who their first round match up will most likely be, they probably could get away with it, though it kills the spacing.
JP has done an amazing job and I wouldn't be surprised if he did start or was the first off the bench. He's going to play a bunch of minutes anyway. Just interested to see how Steve works around it now that everyone would be back.
Also, in regards to his comment on taking the ball out of JP's hand when Steph comes back: With them plus Draymond, I think it should be Dray's on ball usage that goes down. Defenses will tighten up and they'll be playing Dray for the pass. I'm also looking forward to seeing at least some Pick n Pops between the offensive threats (Steph, JP, Klay, Wiggs, Otto) in the playoffs. I'd add JK to that, especially on the roll in the limited mins he gets.
But, my favorite stat(s): Poole going 11 for 11 from the free throw line while stumbling through 1 for 11 from 3 point land. Synchronicity? The magic of 11? Poole goes to 11? It’s always a bit sad when bombers go cold but not letting that disrupt his gimme action on FT’s shows a level of pro confidence that I might not have predicted at the start of the season.
Post-game open thread: Warriors beat Spurs; Poole ice-cold shooting, but also running team in crunch time; Kuminga makes rousing return

A fine win, much good to see here.
