This JK debate is getting way too contentious for my liking. I don't think any real warriors fan is rooting for him to fail because the better he does the better it is for the team. My personal frustration with JK is that he has the talent to be a great player but for whatever reason it just isn't happening. Now you can blame Kerr or the Butler trade or the Tooth Fairy, but the bottom line is that as of right now he isn't a winning player. For an easy comparison, just look at Amen Thompson, who is comparable to JK in athleticism. Don't come at me with advanced stats that indicate JK is a better shooter or rebounder or whatever. Just by watching the game it's obvious that one player is doing everything he can to help his team win and the other one isn't.

It's on him and called low BBIQ.

You say all that then compares him to another player just to say he isn't this or that. I never see anyone compare Moody to any other better 3&d player asking why he can't be like him, Wiggins had the athleticism of mj why isn't he mj or Vince Carter? Fact is right now we need him to win, if he doesn't contribute to winning then Kerr wouldn't play him even with Steph out

I want him to succeed. In fact, I am hoping that he can be retained on a reasonable contract. I think he has the potential to become an all-star, or more likely a starter level player on a good team. The key word is: "potential".

For a variety of reasons, the potential has not been converted to performance yet. Some possible reasons:

- organizational need to "win now"

- game planning trying to maximize Curry

- untimely injuries to JK

- his lack of proper college basketball training.

- not all youngsters develop in the same trajectory

What I disagree with JK stans:

- Kerr has not given him enough opportunity

- Kerr should somehow squeeze in at least 10 minutes of game time, in playoff games for JK. For me, every playoff game is a win now game (unless we specifically give up because of tired legs, injuries to key players etc.)

What I would like to see from JK:

- Keep up the spirit. I have not seen anything bad directly coming from him. (some commenters/columnists have alluded to JK not demonstrating team spirit etc., but I haven't seen or heard anything negative from him. I don't want to interpret the intentions of such columnists).

- for heaven's sake, improve you FTs. get it into the seventies.

- Work on a mid ranger pull up more. I have seen good promise there. You are athletic enough to make that an "automatic" - like Durant. (dont worry too much about the 3 point shot, yet).

I don't understand your point. I'm expressing my frustrations based on my expectations. You mention Wiggins. Just ask Wolves fans how they feel about him. I gave the example of Amen because he seemed a decent comp based on age and athleticism. Now you can argue my expectations aren't realistic, but the main point I was trying to get across is that I'm not rooting for him to fail and I don't think any other true warriors fan is.

I will admit that the one thing that does irritate me is the kumingastans always making excuses for him, which isn't a reflection on JK but his supporters.

OKC was burnt out in OT. That Denver altitude is something else.

Denver beats OKC 11-2 in OT. OKC's iso heavy offense was particularly bad in the clutch. I thought SGA was the biggest culprit forcing a lot of things instead of letting JDub cook more. Deserved loss.

all his shots were short too - so denvers elevation seems to have got to them

2014-2015 Warriors went down 2-1 against an experienced Memphis team and we all know how that turned out. Time to see if the 2024-2025 Thunder are built the same.

I feel like everyone is waiting for this Thunder team to win, when in 2015, they were all waiting for the Dubs to fall.

This might be a tougher task for the Thunder tho, considering Denver is a recent champ and the Grizz weren’t

I'd say judging by what I'm reading on social media tonight there are a lot of people rooting for the Thunder downfall.

I know I certainly am, shout out to Seattle.

One thing I love about the playoffs; you don’t learn anything in a blowout win, but you learn plenty in a blowout loss, especially if you’re a veteran team

I don't really care who wins as long as it goes 7. If we split at home I like our chances and would want Steph to get the max amount of time to recover before the next series.

Denver up by 9 in OT with 32 seconds to go - what a game. Gordon again hit a clutch 3 to tie the game to send it to OT!! SGA missed 5 or 6 shots in the end

I have never seen JOKER so humbled...sometimes, the ball simply does not want you...GOINF INTO OT, he already has 8 turnovers, is 8-24 FG and 0-10 3pts...

He rebounded well and was not shy about bringing the ball upcourt in the 4th quarter.

They played through him and he was willing to distribute and let Gordon and Murray carry the scoring. Sign of a great, aware player.

Without doubt. When the ball does not want them, great players figure out other ways to impact the game...JOKER is the best in the NBA in figuring out ways to impact/win...
