Sure, you can’t win ‘em all, but this was a game that the Golden State Warriors could have won. Draymond Green got two quick technicals (one on a basketball play, one on his busy, busy mouth) and was ejected late in the game — a huge detriment for a team short on impactful veterans.

But nonetheless, the Warriors almost managed to knock off the San Antonio Spurs if not for a comedy of errors down the stretch.

Klay Thompson got called for a foul while contesting a three point attempt. Coach Steve Kerr challenged the play, and the refs reviewed it and agreed they got the call wrong… unfortunately their revised opinion was that Klay should have been assessed a technical foul (and the Warriors lost a timeout).

Then there was a comical foul called on Kevon Looney during a rebound off a missed Wiggins free throw, granting the Spurs potentially game winning shots at the charity stripe. After making one, the second one missed, it looked good for Golden State for about a third of a second.

Unbelievable conclusion to this Spurs-Warriors game. Keldon Johnson makes an insane putback off the free throw miss to seal the win for San Antonio.

Less than 20 seconds beforehand, it looked like the Spurs had given away the game. After the Jordan Poole miss, Devin Vassell committed a befuddling foul with 3 seconds left, sending Andrew Wiggins to the line.

Brutal. Great games from Otto Porter and Jordan Poole, but all for naught. Golden State now begins a brutal grind to close out their regular season. Eight of the final 11 games are on the road; eight/four of them are back-to-backs. We’ll see them again on Tuesday for an early (4pm) game against the Orlando Magic.

Otto Porter Jr. has his third double-double of the season with 16 points to go with a season-high 13 rebounds (career high is 14 rebounds).

Steve Kerr on the two “bizarre” foul calls in the final seconds — one against the Warriors, one against the Spurs — that decided it

Mmmkay I know the world doesn't revolve around me, but there's nothing the basketball gods seem to like more than proving me wrong, so I'm just gonna say it: Wiggins is a straight pumpkin

Klay shot 50% on threes and 30% on twos, it's almost like he's not very good at off the dribble middies... maybe Will Ferrell can put on his haha suit and have a little chat with our guy.
