The odds of a .500 team winning 10 out of 10 games is 0.09% or 1 in 1024. Well done Rockets.

Since there seem to be several different posts on the subject, I want to air my thoughts on Draymond's techs last night in one place.

In my observation, Draymond did a lot of real soul searching and learning about himself during his long suspension. He talked very openly about that, about the work he puts in in talking to trusted others, in therapy, in thinking about his own patterns, where they come from and how to change.

By my count he has three techs since coming back from the long suspension, including last night's ejection. That seems a significantly reduced number from his past patterns, and we have seen far less arguing, fewer tech type behaviors without techs, no altercations. His progress is evident and it is also, clearly, incomplete.

I accept that. I admire a person who is attempting to change. It takes devotion and it takes courage. And it rarely occurs in linear fashion. I was not expecting him to go from his previous record to a sudden 180 degree turn toward a lifetime of no techs. I think that anyone who is frustrated with him as a fan completely has that right. But I am not. I see the growth and hope for more. I also think that past behavior does not mean he has to sacrifice the right to speak now. He said some things about the techs after the game, placing them in a context of taking accountability for his own actions. That sounds good, and of course it's always a question as to whether he is merely pledging to do things better, or can follow up on that pledge. Time will tell. I'm here for it.

Would Draymond had Podded had they lost as a direct result of his ejection? For example a breakdown of defensive rotations in the front court to close out the game.

Draymond. Needs. A. Vet.

Give a 10 day to David West, or Gary Payton, or JTA, or Tom Izzo, or Anthony Mason, or someone who will literally body him forcefully away from refs and purposefully injure him if he tries to walk through them.

[95.7] Draymond talks about the ejection on "The Draymond Green Show." "It just can't happen. I said what I said, I deserved to be kicked out at that point. Kind of wish I would have turned my body and angled it and gone to the bench, but yeah it just can't happen."

Rewatching the 4th quarter and that was a thing of beauty. Wiggs really carried the load scoring the ball before Steph put the finishing touches on it.

Not trying to move past this year already, but is Trayce starting over Draymond next year? He's a much bigger offensive threat, a good help defender at the rim, a really good passer, and great touch around the rim... He will, won't he.

Before we play the rockets, they got Jazz, Mavs, Wolves.

We have hornets, spurs, mavs

Can really make some separation here unless rockets are really that good and win those games

Raise a mug of coffee for Loon, TJD and GPII this morning. They held down the fort awfully well after Draymond's preschool moment.

Steph on his game last night: "Responding to the way that I'm being guarded, the other teams schemes are, there was probably a five minute window in the second quarter where I was forcing the issue, took a couple bad shots, rushed a little bit to be aggressive myself. And then you realize I'll still get looks and I can play off the ball a little bit, use their aggression against them, get the ball moving, the guys making plays. We made the adjustment in the second half, and it worked, so good look for us to be able to adjust. We had a great start to the game, had a rough patch, then we adjust in the second half, and I figured it out."

Speaks to a challenge that is somewhat unique to Steph, which is how to be both an elite point guard and an all-time scoring guard in the same body, and how to know when and how to balance the two. Without Draymond, clearly the point guard needed to win out for last night until the very end.

[Slater] Pool report on the Draymond Green ejection. Crew chief Mitchell Ervin: "After a prolonged diatribe, Green directed egregious profane language towards a game official." Ervin said Green's history didn't have any impact on the decision: "Absolutely not."

With 17 games left in the season, I felt we needed to go 15-2 to jump into 8th seed, provided KLAY returned to the starting lineup. Thought T-wolves. MIAMI, MAVS, were likely to deliver those 2 losses. Last 7 games, we went 4-3, beating LAKERS/MEMPHIS, losing to KNICKS/PACERS/T-WOLVES without KLAY on the starting lineup, and beating MIAMI/ORLANDO the last 2 games WITH KLAY's return to the starting lineup. With 10 games left, we already have our 3rd loss and are fighting for a play-in spot-10th. LAST 10 GAMES are VS HORNETS-A/SPURS-A/MAVS-H/ROCKETS-A/MAVS-A-B2B/JAZZ-H/LAKERS-A/BLAZERS-A/PELICANS-H-B2B/JAZZ-H....A BIT OF LUCK, and KLAY STARTING, we should MAKE THE PLAY-IN....

Wiggins post ASB - 15 games. .485/.407/.806, 14.1 PPG, 4.9 RPG. 120 ORtg, 114 DRtg.

He's still inconsistent AF, but has been a very solid player recently. Too bad it has coincided with Steph's bad run, and that he was so bad the first few months of the year.
