This is one of my favorite DNHQ threads ever, seriously. In the face of a devastating loss we are not getting a bunch of depressed negativism (at least not yet) but a lot of humor and wry optimism and friendship. We are attempting to demonstrate that while it is far better to win, we can be good to each other in a loss.
Two cataclysmic NBA events on the same day yesterday, with (1) the stupid Mavs plucking Cooper freaking Flagg and (2) Jayson Tatum — 26 y.o. franchise player of the defending champs, and till now the most durable superstar in the league — likely out for this season *and* next season with a torn Achilles.
Makes me grateful that Steph was not Tatum’d or Kyrie’d, plus more generally that the Warriors have been able to rack up four titles in an era and a buzzsaw of a league where where winning even one feels like a miracle. I’m never gonna take any of them, or the miracle of Steph, for granted.
All that said, let’s steal Game 5 and see what happens.

And: heal up 100%, Jayson and Kyrie.
