The only real takeaway for me is that there is an archetype of player who the Dubs FO abhors - the Jalen Green type of pure scorer who doesn't really do much beyond that. And they can lose you long series. Jalen Green was one of the biggest reasons the Dubs beat the Rockets last year.

But when they're on? They win you games. Even important games like this one. Or 1-2 games in the Rockets series last year. Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Steve Kerr win when gut punch time sets in during those long series. But you also kinda need a Jalen Green on a night where Steph is tired and just off. And during the regular season when your roster's average age is a million? Let that player lose you a few, but also win you a few.

So Collin Sexton, Coby White, Malik Monk, Zach Lavine, Jordan Poole come on down. And Dubs FO, go against your instincts. The Dubs badly need a player like that. Even though that player needs to be benched in any game 7 you play. But we need to get to that game 7 first.

This was one of the saddest MLP gifs I could find.

So we saw some great Dubs' ball this year (particularly right up until Butler got hurt) and some horrible Dubs' ball sprinkled in throughout. But we upgraded considerably just by getting Gui the minutes that used to go to Kuminga, and if KP can find a way to be reasonably healthy next year, it could be an excellent squad going forward. And I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of LeBron (and, of course, Bronny) heading up to the Bay next year after the Lakers get swept by the Rockets. How about a starting lineup of Steph, LeBron, Butler, Podz, and KP with a bench of Dray, Horford, Melton, GP2, and Moody (late in the year) along with our 1st round draft pick.

I just wanted to tell you all that I love you.

However, you’re skating on thin ice with Hello Kitty

Thank you for keeping the fire burning this season, to you EA, and all at DNHQ.

I think it was absolutely hilarious that Dray got himself and Booker ejected. I know some people are going to make a whole thing of it, but it was really just silly. I loved it.

BornInDaEB's avatar

Same, I can't not love Draymond. Booker is so thin-skinned, it's hilarious.

fzwinter's avatar

Reflected worse on Scott Foster than it did on Dray or Booker

Cant even be mad with the team. They went through a lot. Thanks again DNHQ! Always good.

As crappy as it feels to have your season ended like that I'm pretty relieved we made it out of this one with no other major injuries. Steph looks less than 50% right now moving around and KP is even worse. If we couldn't handle the Suns pressure we would have lost in 3 to OKC. No shame with how rotten our luck was. Let's retool and dance this #LastDance.

This is what I preferred, win the first play-in game and get another "moment" for Curry/Green and then ultimately lose the second one and get the ping pong balls and rest up for next season. This team was DOA after the Moody injury, they have no wings remaining who can shoot/defend and if they can't defend a guy like Jalen Green they can't even hope to compete with OKC. Porzingis was compromised which put too much on Green/Horford, Curry might have even been compromised, they were running on fumes and this is better for them. They also need a long offseason if they want to do anything next season imo.

The main achievement this season was the steps taken by the Podz/Moody/Santos trio, although it's possible that only Santos is on the floor come the start of the season.

I would have been bitter had Brooks had a big game to send them home but I really do not care about a huge Jalen Green game to send them home, good for him. Suns were clearly the better team and controlled the game the whole time, there's no what ifs here.

Time to check out some draft prospects.

cannothoop's avatar

yeah, I am ok with it, but if Brooks cooked I would not be. Green had a night, good for him. I think they will get smoked by OKC so enjoy it boys. But we are too banged up and too short of our good players. But HUGE bonus with the clips game - what a night. It will carry me through the off-season.

BayesGT's avatar

You think there’s a chance Podz is getting traded?

belilaugh's avatar

If he wants more than they want to offer him, I could see them not wanting to repeat the Kuminga situation

fzwinter's avatar

Unless we're in the running for a large man from Greece, I don't think so.

I still think we'll see Podz on the US Olympic team in 2028.

belilaugh's avatar

Really hope that Kerr comes back

>>>The Warriors season is over. They lock in the 11th spot in the lottery. They have a 9.4 percent chance of jumping into the top-four, a 77.6 percent chance of sticking at the 11th pick and a 12.6 percent chance of dropping to 12th.

The lottery is on May 10th.<<<

It's interesting that winning the 9/10 game literally does nothing, they don't jump the Clippers (Thunder) draft pick. It's just a really fun game that has no consequence 2 days later.

cannothoop's avatar

It has consequences in my heart.

Dubs show true grit in 2026! I'm excited for next year. Will be a hard run but when it clicks it will be fire.
