Game Thread: Oubre out. Curry out. Green out. Let the young guns go wild!!!
Also: All-Star teams selected - Curry joins LeBron for the first time ever!
For this being the last game that the Golden State Warriors will be playing in a week, they sure are making it tough to watch. We already knew that Stephen Curry and Draymond Green didn’t make the trip. Not mad about it, even. After all, today is Green’s birthday, after all.
But just a couple hours ahead of game time, the Warriors dropped the bomb that Kelly Oubre is going to remain out for tonight as well.
There’s only one thing to do…
RELEASE THE YOUNG DUBS!!!
Nico Mannion and Damion Lee starting in the backcourt? Wiseman and Juanito both starting?
I have a pretty good idea of what will happen tonight, and we are all very lucky that Kerr is embracing chaos. The Warriors may well lose this game - by a lot - but at least the young guns will get a lot of development time.
Woo! Maximum chaos! Let’s go!
Apropos of nothing, here’s one of the best tracks off the Sepultura album, Chaos A.D.
All-Stars Announced
Every year, I tell myself I don’t care about All-Star weekend, and every year I watch everything. Something tells me this year will be no different. For the first time ever, Curry and LeBron James will be on the same team (LeBron took Curry with his second pick, 3rd overall).
My money is on this team - and not just because Curry is on it.
JP just needs to take his 3s under control.
