I'm sure all the players donation came from the big 4 but it's better .. Giannis donated 100k, love donated 100k. I'm sure each of the warriors big 4 donated 100k or more.
The Players Union should have crafted a uniform response so that some players didn't look like d**ks. Don't see why players making over an arbitrary number - say $10M/year ($122K/game) - couldn't donate their salaries for any unplayed games. Or half their salaries. Something.
I don't give Lacob credit for anything. He doesn't deserve all the money he has, so it should be a public expectation that he gives it away. Same goes for all these NBA owners.
There's a lot about our society being exposed by the coronavirus. People living or dying based on the whims of billionaires like Joe Lacob is pretty dystopian. Moratoriums on evictions, utility shut offs, and data caps show how much unnecessary cruelty exists in everyday life that we've accepted as normal. And a collapsing healthcare system that can't even guarantee free coronavirus treatment as we've been told again and again how destructive it would be to adapt a single payer system. All as 1.5 trillion is "injected" into the markets, way more than the cost of social welfare programs we are told aren't affordable.
Good on the Warriors and a better response than I have seen from any team, collectively, so far. I'm happy they took the time to get it right. Other franchises should take note.

I wonder if $1M will cover 1500 employees for a month. Its better than nothing but I don't believe that's enough. Lacob could do better than that.
