Lamb is playable because he can shoot 3's. The ability to shoot the 3 allows players like Bjeli to be mediocre but passable on D. JMG can't shoot, and as a consequence his mediocre D combined with an offensive zero becomes a net negative. The only thing he can do is set an occasional screen and pass the ball around. And on D, he can defend a big every once in a while, but is often a turnstile against guards, and is often miscommunicating on switches, allowing defensive breakdowns.

If you mean Wiseman, right now I'd say he's better than JMG, which tells you how bad JMG is. But Wiseman needs to stay at SC for awhile yet.
The problem with Wiseman is when he's in, the Warriors have to cater their offense to him because they have to keep it simple.
