Meltdown averted, Warriors hold on to beat Detroit
PRAISE THREESUS - Curry shows up big, late, and often
There were a few white knuckle moments, but in the end the duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson yet again proved to be enough to secure a needed win. It’s a good thing that this broke the way it did, because a loss to the three-win Detroit Pistons tonight would have been apocolyptic.
There was a late block by Klay Thompson, showing that his defense is still around sometimes. A stepback three from Curry that wasn’t quite a dagger but got me up from my comfortable chair to start writing this postgame. It was clear that there was breathing room.
Instead, the Splash Bros chipped in 24 of Warriors 34 in the 4th, and Dub Nation will happily take this win and call it a night.
Whew.
Other notes:
-Curry ends with 26 points on 19 shots.
-Podz led the team with 5 assists.
-MOSES MOODY! He got off the bench, finally.
- Kuminga showed up with a fresh haircut and seemed mostly ok. There was some quip that Kerr made about not being happy about his own playing time every year he was in the league, so hopefully this can lead to some bonding and growth.
The Warriors are off tomorrow, but return to action on Sunday. Be ready, DNHQ!
Is it just me or did Kuminga's new clean look make him look considerably shorter?
A DUBY COMEBACK? IN THE NICK OF TIME? GOTS TO GET BETTER NOW....
