Except for Yax, I hadn't heard of any of these guys until the W's picked/signed them, but I have an irrationally good feeling about all of them! :D
Seriously, though, I like all their profiles, and especially for this team's needs and I feel like they all have this outside shot of becoming contributors, if we hit on even one of the non Yax guys (and Yax is everything we hope, of course) I vote for MDJ as exec of the year.
We currently only have 3 players under contract that's capable of playing B2Bs and 82 games this season. This is probably the one year where these late round and undrafted guys will have the best shot of making the team and I hope they prove they belong
Boyd has areal chance at beating out Spencer and Cryer for backup PG if for no other reason than the fact that the competition isn't that stiff. I assume that Podz is a SG at least until Moody gets back or a trade is made. I doubt Melton is coming back and while GPII might and is listed as an SG, we all know he is really an ultra small ball center. Maybe Jones actually has a chance as well. I have a feeling that there are a lot of moves yet to be made with the Warriors having a shortage of actually playable guards and quite a few big guys.
Thanks for collecting all of these scouting reports and videos EA. I think you may have some quotes in the wrong section though, as there are a few scouting notes about CJ Gunn among Graham Ike's scouting notes.
Edit: I think SI also goofed as they reference "Carr" several times in their write up on CJ Gunn.
The Warriors are trying to be relevant for Curry's next 2 years so it isn't so much targeting market inefficiency but rather trading upside for guys that might contribute now.
"DePaul Blue Demons guard CJ Gunn and Kansas Jayhawks guard Elle Evans won the men's and women's 3-point shootouts, proving they are among the most prolific shotmakers in the country."
He has a very bouncy lift on his shot a bit like Devin Booker. Not comparing their games but I can see where he gets the 'prolific shot maker' label from

I think most of SI's stuff is AI generated now.
True, and even before AI their quality has gone steeply downhill in recent years as they have laid off writing and editorial staff.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Lajae Jones have a similar impact like Will did last year. We could always use playable big bodied wing players
It's like the Warriors front office all read Moneyball and concluded that the market inefficiency was old guys who played four years in college.

I hope this is true.
