Thanks for sticking with us. Please remember that Daniel is dealing with a wrist injury, and Nate has a newborn! We appreciate you all and will cover these games one way or another!
We'll have actual meaningful basketball analysis for you tomorrow morning!
After the Warriors beat the Raptors I said that the Raptors were clearly better than their record. I feel the same way about this team, but ONLY because Russell wasn't playing. It gives McLaughlin more minutes and the rest of these guys play hard. These guys plus KAT would be solid, not a playoff team, but better than the worst record in the league.
I will pray to the tanking gods that Russell stays healthy this season.
The first few minutes was pretty great, too! Steph came out gunning and the Wolves had no idea what they were doing. It was like the opposite of how the Knicks game started.
The fear/hated of Scott Foster has been way overblown for several seasons now. He's actually a good ref, lets the game happen instead of demanding to be in control of it.
He went into the game shooting .347 from the (.434 ts) for the season. He’s still a young 19, and think he still has a chance to be great, but it’s kind of the nature of his position/role that he’s gonna shoot the team out of a lot more games than Wiseman would while he’s figuring stuff out. When the Wolves went for raw youth and upside with their picks in Edwards and McDaniels, it instantly boosted the expected value of the Warriors’ pick.
Monster! Wolves are scratching themselves with fleas, again. Just imagine we land the 4th pick overall in their spot and the trade turns into Dlo for Wigs + Jalen Green. Lol Oh Boy
To be fair, Dlo is a negative but sometimes to often, he catches fire, then he’s pretty damn good. But agreed that, on balance, I probably want him playing for the other team
Honestly, this Wolves team without Russell isn't "worst team in the Western Conference" bad just off of how hard they play. They kinda showed that already by beating the Pels.
Lacob and Bob did good keeping that semi-max contract under the belt (bird rights). Next year they can sign and trade Oubre (assuming he/FO don't want him to continue) for a already signed player
ok, barebones post game thread is up:

Awwwww, congrats, Nate, and heal up, Daniel!!!

They might be the worst team in the west though. WC is brutal.
coming in, Minny only had the third worst record
I caught the last 2/3 of this game, and it was great!

Curry was on fire then differed to wiggins so he could get feeling good too. True leader
gimme a sec, will put up a post game thread here in a moment...
Good feeling to have a win... Knicks official was so bad... you love seeing Scott Foster calling the game. That’s how worst this new ref. have been!
Ha-ha! Same feeling here - was actually relieved to see Foster on the floor?!
The fear/hated of Scott Foster has been way overblown for several seasons now. He's actually a good ref, lets the game happen instead of demanding to be in control of it.
Just like this game, I think we win that one if Dray is there in second half. Steph would have stopped F-ing around at some point in the game
Wiseman vs. Edwards:
Wiseman: 16 minutes, 13 points, 4/5 FGs, 5/8 FTs, 4 rebounds, 2 turnovers, 2 blocks
Edwards: 26 minutes, 15 points, 4/13 FGs, 1/3 threes, 6/7 FTs, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks

And the pick keeps on maturing...
(Oops, meant as a reply to ChaosSaturday).
Nice to see Wiseman doing ok off the bench!
Lol edwards has been 3-14 in has last 3-4 games it seems like
He is consistent.
Wiggins with 3 steals and 3 blocks tonight
Monster! Wolves are scratching themselves with fleas, again. Just imagine we land the 4th pick overall in their spot and the trade turns into Dlo for Wigs + Jalen Green. Lol Oh Boy
Or Jalen Suggs. Or Jalen Johnson... :-)
Lets hope Dlo plays in the next game so its not so close in the 4th Q

Yep, thats what im sayin. They're worse with Dlo on the floor...so i hope he plays next game lol
This Wiggins is worth that contract if he's gonna be solid on both ends consistently

McLaughlin still playing hard in garbage time
He’s a good one - bugging the Dubs all game and working to the end.
Wiseman stat padding
Wolves definitely should have kept McLaughlin in the game the entire fourth quarter.
Steph finally deigned to focus for three minutes and went nuts.
Bench unit in
Wiggins 3 blocks now lmao
