missed the game last night so catching up, and side eyeing some of these lineups in the latter half of the 3rd (three guards, JMG at center, no Draymond… no bueno; and now it's a lineup with no starters, Poole-Donte-Lamb-Kuminga-JMG)

being kept afloat so far by Poole being on a total heater, but the lineup can't do much on defense

A win tonight coupled with a Jazz loss puts us at #6 seed (I think)

In other news: some stuff about the game:

The ‘2nd team’ anchored by Dray and Wiggs (with Poole Lamb and Kuminga) started the 2nd quarter with a 2 point lead and stretched it to 7. Wiggins got all the points, Kuminga missed a 3, and both Kuminga and Poole travelled. Brilliant? No. But solid and firmly in the + column. This is an experiment that continues to look like a part of the future. And I liked seeing Kuminga here - he’s getting a few different spots and looks.

Dray was 1 board short of a triple double with 10 assists and 13 points, shooting 66% on 3. After the last few years seeing stat lines like this from Dray is a real delight.

Steph had 11 rebounds. That guy is aces around the boards, if only he could shoot or develop a handle. Patience, young jedis!

Looney edged Steph out with 12 boards. Ball hog! Damn I love seeing Looney play so solidly, and for 27 minutes. Pro.

The Bulls had exactly one more FT than the W’s. Acceptable. Please continue this level of fouling Warriors!

Good win. Now to crush the Rockets. I’m assuming Klay won’t play but I can’t wait for a night when Steph, Klay, Wiggs and Poole are all ‘on’.

I’m really glad Jordan had a good game last night, clearly 1-6 from 3 is not what anyone wants to see. But I can’t agree that what makes an elite shooter is that they keep shooting. What make a great shooter is that they hit a high percentage of their shots. An elite shooter hits a high percentage regularly. And then there’s Steph.

Anyone feeling intrigued by Kerr's rumored overture to Caruso last night? Acknowledging that it might well be specious, let's indulge it: Where would he rank for you among trade targets? We've discussed him on here before. Kind of a similar player to Donte, but probably better, and you can't really have too many good options to throw at Morant, Booker, Fox, Murray, et al, in the playoffs. I think I'd put him at or near the top of my list.

Yesterday's game against the Stockton Kings was one of the first time I've ever seen Wiseman play with the appropriate force (at least on the offensive end). So that's nice. I do think there is a good enough offensive player in there with enough reps.

>> "What separates regular players, regular shooters from great shooters, elite shooters is elite shooters don't stop shooting. So, I'm not going to stop shooting."

Not quite correct. What separates elite shooters from regular shooters is that they get to keep shooting. Their coach doesn't pull them for Acie Law or something like that.
