Not taking all too seriously...I became an Omari fan also because of his energy: fierce, deeply committed, highly competitive, extremely supportive and loving. He also has that intellectual thing going for him. Although very young, he makes me think he could be a future David West -- the kind of role player you see on a winning team.
Another reason we love Mully, I think, is because he got a grip on his alcohol problem while he was here. It really warms your heart and kindles your faith to see someone make so much progress. In a smaller way, commensurate with his very short time on the team, Omari also showed strong personal growth.
Really like Spellman and hope he comes back for a second tour, but having him and Mullin in the same article just seems crazy to me. Mullin is ICONIC -- the C in Run TMC. He was the Ws' representative on the original Dream Team. He helped define an era. That's a rare level of fame.
