Introducing Honorary Warriors For Life
The concept is simple. You get to vote on the question “Is X an Honorary Warrior For Life?”
What does that phrase mean? I once tried to define it, and people found it more fun to bring in their own definitions, so it is now back to being kept vague, like “Most Valuable Player” or “Greatest Of All Time”.
Each person is linked to their full article, plus their splits of answers to the poll question, either
“Is X an Honorary Warrior For Life?”
with the % for Yes / No / Don’t Know Them numbers, or with the replies to
Dub Nation, imagine you see X in a game with no practical implications for the Warriors. (So not against GSW, ignore draft picks, playoff seeding, etc.) Do you want them to do well or poorly?
listing % replies in the order of Well / Poorly / Don’t Care Either Way / Don’t Know Who They Are.
And now for our nominee…
Dario Šarić
For a while, Dario Saric looked like the Stretch 5™ that Dub Nation has been pining for throughout all time. He splashed shots, passed well and played off old teammate Chris Paul well.
His full season stats are above average (67th percentile by EPM), but this conceals the fact that his role declined as the season went on. By the middle of the season, other teams started attacked Saric on defense, both driving past him on the arc and bullying him down low for scores and rebounds.
In the end, Kerr pulled him from the rotation in February, right around the time he started giving Kuminga extended minutes
In the end, the stretch 5 dream was not to be. Dario Saric was always meant to be a one-year rental, as he signed for the minimum and would play himself out of the Warriors’ price range. He ended up signing with DEN for $10m / 2y. Nonetheless, Saric gave us some excitement, played hard and never made a fuss about his declining role in a contract year. Good luck, Super Dario.
Your Vote
You can vote by poll and/or by comment (which counts as ten poll votes) with an explanation and a single #YES or #NO. A straight 75% vote will qualify the player for HWFL status.

Just saw this lol. NO!
I like Dario, but he just wasn't with the Ws long and didn't accomplish much. But I hope he finds success elsewhere.
