Happy Birthday Daniel! It's been great to follow your evolution as a writer and as a guardian of Warriors fandom. I have a few other thoughts to share but I feel that they may be better placed in your forthcoming litany of resurfaced receipts and scorn for the unbelievers of Threezus for they are petty.

Here's to getting to celebrate many more future birthdays with many more future championships! Like our old pal Lebron said, not 1, not 2, not 3....

I've been following you guys since the "Strawman" wars at GSoM. This is by FAAAARRRR the best GSW community. The respect for insight vs. clicks makes all the diff.

Keep not changing.

I started paying attention to the Warriors during the We Believe season. I'd been to a few games earlier and enjoyed it, but knowing that the Warriors wouldn't/couldn't win I never got too emotionally invested.

So We Believe coincided with me discovering that the cable TV in my apartment was working, even though I definitely hadn't paid for a subscription. Sweet! I was hooked and started following the team.

Back then, I was reading comments on SFgate and felt like "this can't be right" about a lot of the thoughts expressed there. Like, how the commenters would love a player who scored a lot of points even if he did so very inefficiently (*ahem* Monta *ahem*).

I googled "Warriors Blog" but didn't find GSOM. Instead I found Feltbot, who at the time talked a lot about the Warriors offense and was very good at finding a positive angle and hope for the future. He was extremely high on Curry from day one - proclaiming he would be a superstar from day one, pretty much. I guess Feltbot is a contrarian by nature - once the team was sold and started playing well, his posts turned grumpy and then he shut the blog down.

Anyway, Feltbot often mentioned discussing with people at a place called Golden State Of Mind, so eventually I had to check it out. This was right around the Curry draft, I think. So I decided to check that out, and was a loyal lurker until the exodus happened and I ended up here. Ponied up the $50 immediately - outstanding price for all the fantastic content and community, and no ads!

You guys rock. If there was an Allstar Blog-team you'd all be on my ballot. Thank you for creating this space - I read and read and still don't feel satisfied.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there!

Separately, I woke up this morning thinking that today would have been Game Seven day if the Warriors hadn’t closed it out in six. Thanks to the Warriors players and coaches for getting it done early so we didn’t have to stress out these last few days and be an emotional wreck today.

Guys, Nico Mannion last night has ended his season. I live in the city where he played this season (but I root for the other city team, the"Mets" of the town, to make you understand the differences between the two teams of Bologna, Italy)

It was a ugly season for Nico. His coach, Sergio Scariolo, who was in Nick Nurse Raptors staff (in 2019 too) benched Nico in the playoff run (often Nico did not even play a minute) and they eventually lost to Milan in Italian Finals. A very disappointing season for Nico, in the wrong team with the wrong head coach. I hope he will leave very soon if he hopes to become an NBA player

Ps the fanbase of his italian team (much worse than the Celtics fanbase) unanimously think Nico has been a huge bust.

I'm sorry for Nico

Also congrats to all at the Dub Nation team! Loving this more than Vox and all the other corporate sites …

Wow. Just saw the news wires that Kenny A is turning down the head coaching job with MJ to stay with us … wow!

I’m gobsmacked. Who in their right mind would turn down an NBA head coaching job to be an assistant coach. Wow!

Guess it’s his best option to get more rings.

Here’s a question that’s bothering me now: where do the Warrior Critics go from here? They are facing oblivion. Everything they dredged up to throw at the dubs has now been emphatically and undeniably refuted. (…the Cavs were injured, it was all KD, Curry’s not clutch, blah blah blah…). But why should we care? Because we NEED THEM! Steph, Klay and Dray seem to thrive by playing with a chip on their shoulder. What will happen if somewhere around 3rd and Market they suddenly realize they have nothing left to prove? Do we at DNHQ need to brainstorm some new slights to hurl at our own players? Can we come up with some petty stuff that will really get under their skin?

Thank you Daniel, and to D3, Eric, and all the other OGs (Nate, Ivan, Sleepy, PMC) for keeping this amazing community together, even bringing some of the people here that were on GSOM waaaaaay back when Atma was running the show and Tony was making superfly images.

I first found GSOM in 2009, down in a Davidson computer lab at 12:30 AM ET trying to procrastinate on one of my midterm papers and looking for any coverage I could get of Steph and how he did in his first game.

Hard to believe its already been 13 years and three different communities since then. Just as much as I’m proud of my former classmate putting his name in the conversation with the all time greats, I appreciate having found an organization who lifts all their guys up along with their super star and makes it so damn easy to root for all their players (including Draymond!)

I’m also grateful to have watched Steph and the core through their valleys and peaks not once, but twice. I’m so happy for him, Klay, and Draymond to answer all of the critics, all of the doubters who said they were done these last two years, and doing while gracefully shepherding in the next generation of Dubs who will carry the torch.

And I’m grateful to get to share these moments over the last 13 years with all of you who have taught me so much about basketball and Warrior fandom. Thank you all for making this community what it is.

I was irrational enough to believe Steph would be an MVP and champ before he was drafted, and I was optimistic enough to believe that if he, Dray and Klay could take the floor together again, they would win another championship.

I’m calling my absurdly irrational, lunatic shot here right now: I think these guys got TWO — maybe THREE — championships left in them to cement themselves in the conversation with Jordan and his Bulls.

We knew it was unlikely this year, and yet we successfully ran the two timeline strategy this year. I think this is the last year where the core shoulder the bulk of the responsibilities and then year three is where all parts of the roster coalesce and dominate the rest of the league in 2024.

It’s unlikely, sure, but this whole run since 2012 has been unlikely, so why the hell not? I can’t wait to see it unfold and I’m looking forward to every minute of it with, especially with the the rest of you at DNHQ!
