The Golden State Warriors continue their road trip, facing the franchise with the most titles in NBA history, the Boston Celtics.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the Dubs are shorthanded tonight without Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Judging from the team’s 10-38 record, the league’s other squads aren’t hesitating to kick the reigning Western Conference champs while they’re down.
Boston is currently the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference and are gunning to add an 18th championship banner this season.
A player to watch tonight from the guys in green will be Jayson Tatum, a disciple of the Mamba Mentality who is returning from a groin injury and just received his first All-Star game nod. Tatum will be on a minutes restriction for this contest; hopefully the Dubs take advantage of his rust.
The 21-year old Tatum has Boston excited about his future, and he reminds Dub Nation of the tantalizing possibilities of the upcoming draft if the Warriors keep losing at their current pace.
The last time these two teams met was in November, when Boston stole a 105-100 victory in a spirited battle in Chase Center. Kemba Walker, another Celtics All-Star, closed out Golden State that night, scoring 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter. D’Angelo Russell hurt his thumb and missed the finish of that game; who knows how it could have turned out if he were healthy.
Will the Warriors take the lessons they learned from that game and steal a victory of their own? Can anyone on this team guard Walker? How will Dubs’ rookie Eric Paschall fare in his first game on the Garden’s famed parquet floor?
SO MANY QUESTIONS! The answers are coming up, NEXT!
I absolutely believe BELIEVE that the Dubs can come back and make this s Single Digit Loss™.
Also, many players like to trap defenders on their back, but I’ve never noticed anyone else like D-Lo who consistently backs away from the basket into a trailing defender to get them on his back.
One more complaint. The TV studio crew is just off this season as well. The lost season. Different crews all the time. Mostly low key personalities as well. Saintly needs the next Buike with him.
"“I ain't giving her the money. Her son plays for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. She don't need the money," he said, before hugging Jones-Thomas and handing her an envelope.
A LinkedIn profile for Jones-Thomas describes her as a “senior director of accounting” for a real estate management firm. Her son, Warriors forward Omari Spellman, is set to make close to $2 million this season, according to online sports salary-tracking website Spotrac."
Gamethread: Jayson Tatum returns as Warriors visit Boston
By the way, anyone out there think that Jordan Poole (he of the 27% FG ) will ever become as good a player as Quinn Cook? Just askin'
I’m so glad we got Chriss back
That would be a T if it was Dray throwing the ball at the board after travel ☹️

Some stats:
GSW 50
BOS 60
HALFTIME
DLo 12-2-2, 4/8 fg
Burks 9 pts, 3 reb, 2/6 fg, 2/4 3s
Draymond 5-3-4
Hayward 17 pts, 5 reb, 5/8 fg

ORtg: 97.0
DRtg: 116.5
NetRtg: -19.5
eFG%: .500
TS%: .559
Warriors have largely been helpless against a suffocating Boston defense: .410/.318 FG/3FG split. 10 turnovers, several of them unenforced.
It is interesting that they don’t run Poole at point. Why is that?
So, when is Damion Lee gonna do his thing? Like as a shooter.
At least Warriors are annoying the Celts
DLo with 4 pt is not gonna cut it. Let's hope he wakes up.
spellman's shot has completely come back down to earth
Yes, Omari, f$ck is right. Lol. That was a terrible shot.
Boston's top-locking and overplaying is so on point. The switches and rotations too. Dubs simply don't have the personnel to create shots on offense.
Dumb turnovers don't help either.
D-Lo just stood there instead of hustling for the ball. I miss Ky's hustle.
How many wide open dunks in transition are the Celtics gonna get?
this is the worst the offense has looked in a long time. no movement whatsoever
Uggggggggggggly game
lots of ugly turnovers
Ah! Silly TOVs
lmao green
What's the idea behind D-Lo's bumper car? Is it to draw foul?
LGW!!
Oh my god I love Omari Spellman but this article is crazy and implicates his mom!
