By the way, anyone out there think that Jordan Poole (he of the 27% FG ) will ever become as good a player as Quinn Cook? Just askin'

I absolutely believe BELIEVE that the Dubs can come back and make this s Single Digit Loss™.

Also, many players like to trap defenders on their back, but I’ve never noticed anyone else like D-Lo who consistently backs away from the basket into a trailing defender to get them on his back.

They have "had their moments" already and are hoping they can graduate to "hung with them".

One more complaint. The TV studio crew is just off this season as well. The lost season. Different crews all the time. Mostly low key personalities as well. Saintly needs the next Buike with him.

Warriors at half vs. BOS:

ORtg: 97.0

DRtg: 116.5

NetRtg: -19.5

eFG%: .500

TS%: .559

Warriors have largely been helpless against a suffocating Boston defense: .410/.318 FG/3FG split. 10 turnovers, several of them unenforced.

Boston has some serious intensity. It appears they are not just taking the night off. Dubs forced into inefficient takes.

Yup. They're defensively well-drilled. They're denying off-ball actions, overplaying and top-locking. They can afford to be aggressive because no one on the Warriors can really make them pay dearly for it.

It is interesting that they don’t run Poole at point. Why is that?

Expand full comment

I think Kerr is playing eveyone at the spots they will have when everyone is healthy (next season). Steph+DLo+Dray at point will be complicated enough.

Well that’s what I think too but dang, maybe he would be good at it. Ha Ha

Apparently he was that in G-league (@ point) and did great.

I was wondering where he played down there

So, when is Damion Lee gonna do his thing? Like as a shooter.

Hopefully before the end of the season. Don’t know what his deal is. Is he not as motivated now that he’s got a contract? Doesn’t seem like the type but who knows.

Expand full comment

He certainly plays hard. So yeah, not sure. Of course, the whole team is a mess so maybe it’s just that.

he's actually made a couple shots tonight, more than he has the past few weeks. progress

DLo with 4 pt is not gonna cut it. Let's hope he wakes up.

spellman's shot has completely come back down to earth

Maybe if he makes through the dead line he will settle down. Who knows. Besides not making as many 3’s, his form just looks inconsistent.

Isn't he mostly catch and shoot?

Yes, Omari, f$ck is right. Lol. That was a terrible shot.

Boston's top-locking and overplaying is so on point. The switches and rotations too. Dubs simply don't have the personnel to create shots on offense.

Dumb turnovers don't help either.

D-Lo just stood there instead of hustling for the ball. I miss Ky's hustle.

How many wide open dunks in transition are the Celtics gonna get?

this is the worst the offense has looked in a long time. no movement whatsoever

"“I ain't giving her the money. Her son plays for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. She don't need the money," he said, before hugging Jones-Thomas and handing her an envelope.

A LinkedIn profile for Jones-Thomas describes her as a “senior director of accounting” for a real estate management firm. Her son, Warriors forward Omari Spellman, is set to make close to $2 million this season, according to online sports salary-tracking website Spotrac."
