The Golden State Warriors are set to square off with the Los Angeles Lakers tonight in Chase Center. The Lakers scored at least 120 points in both of their victories over the Dubs this season, but their star LeBron James won’t play this evening.
Adding to Golden State’s possible chances to steal a victory against the best team in the West is the return of former All-Star/Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green.
On the positive side, we've officially secured our 1st round pick this year!
@anthonyVslater:
Hasn't been in question for months, but...Warriors, with this loss, have officially protected their first round pick. They now instead owe Brooklyn a 2025 second rounder.
On the bright side I really like Toscano-Anderson’s play. He plays the game the right way, even when the warriors are down by 20. Wouldn’t mind him back next year.
I’m tired of people making excuses for Chris Paul’s clippers. That team just choked every opportunity they got. No one got “lucky” they didn’t have to play them.
Honestly was excited to watch the players that I thought would be a part of our rotation this year build some continuity for next but have watched them play themselves out of a contract. We traded our one bonafide keeper in GR3 and it doesn't sound like there were amiable feelings towards the organization in doing so. Looney is a keeper due to contract. Only other one playing right now is Chriss. Bowman has absolutely regressed. Damian Lee just tanked himself after getting some guaranteed money thrown his way. There is no one in this roster right now that I am particularly excited for. Next season can't come soon enough.
Welp, on the good side, the comments are way easier to follow now. The happy comments stay in place towards the bottom and it gets gloomier real fast as you go up
Also what’s with draymond going in and out of the lineup every game? If he’s hurt sit him until he’s right. If he has multiple injuries just shut him down until he’s good to go. Plugging him back into the lineup every other game isn’t helping with a team that’s trying to find some sort of rhythm.
Draymond getting thrown out hurt the team a lot tonight. I know the game doesn’t matter, but that’s a pretty good rationale for not losing your stuff. Sigh
Gamethread: Draymond Green is back but LeBron James is out of Warriors vs Lakers
Okay, I opened a post-game memory wipe thread. God have mercy on all of us
Looney needs to develop a hook shot or something
Jordan Poole starting to look like an NBA player at least?
16 pts / 7-13 FG / 2-5 3pt / 8 assists / 4 tov
Top players:
1: Paschall
2: Poole
3: Lee
HM: No one
I don't think I'm gonna put Bowman in the HM, because he had 7 turnovers and was -30 tonight.
We only scored 9 points in the 4th quarter and 26 points in the 2nd half. Damn, that's super bad.
I’m actually happy curry didn’t have to try and carry this team all year
Hey, why does Marv Albert still have a job exactly?
So who are we getting rid of and who are we keeping for next year ?

23 turnovers. Yikes.
How much leeway are we gonna give Looney this year for being unable to elevate his game without stars around him?
I don't expect him to become an All-Star or anything, but he has a 37.3% TS% in his 18 games so far....
On the bright side I really like Toscano-Anderson’s play. He plays the game the right way, even when the warriors are down by 20. Wouldn’t mind him back next year.
Time to end the Bender.
Run every play for Mulder and Bender you cowards!!

Our 10-day is the most experienced NBA player on the floor right now...
Bleh. The first half was great except for Dray, and except for the Lakers getting 18 FTs.
Dat second half, do. Sigh. Steph cannot come back soon enough.

Lakers: 35/64 FGs, 6/15 threes, 18/24 FTs
Warriors: 27/63 FGs, 7/23 threes, 8/9 FTs
40-17 3rd quarter points. Lakers-Warriors.
Poole and Paschall are the only Warriors who are doing well right now.
I step away for a few minutes and the game goes from close to 25 points down.
THE TANK WILL NOT QUIT, THE TANK WILL NOT DIE
Not pumped with the way Damian Lee is playing this season

Is it me or it seems like Ky gets his pocket picked quite often?
I’m honestly getting real sick of draymond’s shit. Dude loses his temper way too much. It’s getting real real old.
well the 1st half was fun
Three turnovers in a row.
Total collapse ☹️
Is it ok if I have an irrational hatred for Charles Barkley?
As much intensity as Bowman shows, bad scorers like Rondo can take him to the rack really easily a lot.
Oh no not Poole
Chriss was our best player in the past two games. Tonight does not seem to be his night.
(looks at score) Welp. It looks like Lakers decided to take the game seriously now.
Some weird calls, not sure about that Lee foul on Davis as they both go for the ball after a block.
3rd quarter used to be different
I see, GSW going Dragan-Chriss. So Dray got himself chucked to help the spacing. Team player
been wondering if we'd get a classic marv albert call. "davis for 3!" on a 17 footer... lol
Nice movement there at the end resulting in back-to-back two-handed slams from Paschall. Good way to close the half with some energy.
Is it just me or does Dwight Howard always seem to morph into like an 85% ft shooter every time he plays the warriors
I missed the whole first half, and this is a perplexing score to come back to
Halftime stats:

Poole to Paschall to slam 🙂
It feels like Draymond got more technical, than games played this season!
poole spins away from contact on those 3s, he needs to wait until he actually gets hit
We have pulled the Lakers into the mud without the discipline of Lebron
Are we watching pre-season
Too many whistles
14-7 fouls
Warriors-Lakers
This is madness. How in the world do the Lakers have way less fouls than us?
