Ahead of a huge game four, the Golden State Warriors don’t really know which version of the Memphis Grizzles they’ll be facing this evening. Ja Morant is the team’s leading scorer and engine of their offense, but is frequently targeted on the other end of the court. Combined with Memphis’ strong 20-5 record during the regular season, there’s optimism that the team can hold on even if Morant can’t go.
There has apparently been an MRI on the knee, though the Grizzlies are keeping their lips tight about what they found.
Morant did not participate in the team’s shootaround today, but he did put in an appearance towards the end. Wearing slippers, he can be seen standing in one spot and dribbling a ball. If he can’t move without limping, it seems pretty unlikely to me that he’ll be available for Wednesday’s game five. But one thing at a time… Here he is walking a bit more gingerly than he did walking into the arena earlier in the day:
