Game Thread: Time to shine in Orlando
The Golden State Warriors hit the road looking for some wins on their five-game trip
The Golden State Warriors are in sunny Orlando for today’s matinee matchup against the Magic. Gary Payton is back, Draymond Green is angry (probably), and Jordan Poole has been on a tear lately. Let’s go!
Will the return of Payton push Chiozza to the bench — or even out of the rotation? Coach Steve Kerr had some interesting words before the game today:
Steve Kerr was asked if Chris Chiozza will be in the rotation while Steph Curry is out:
“Not necessarily. Draymond can handle the ball as well. There’s going to have to be some decisions we have to make.”

Also, the Warriors are road trippin’ because Chase is hosting some March Madness. How’s this for a throw back?
Perspective from someone who was lucky enough to win the game.
Curry-Klay-Dray have played 11 minutes together in 3 years. THAT is the Warriors. That 3-man combination has the highest winning % of any 3-man combo in NBA history. (pretty sure) Every other player is ancillary. Yes, Klay is throwing bricks like a 16 year old stoner in Ceramics class. But we all know the real recovery from the Achilles is year 2. We all know why we are invested in those 3. Because if they win another title together, they get a permanent seat at the Table of Greats (60s & 80s Boston, 80s Lakers, 90s Bulls)
Yeah its sucks now. But that's because we haven't even seen the Warriors this year. And above all else, that is the most frustrating part.
