It’s game three for the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics and emotions are already running high. I’m on the road too, reminded of the time I watched the Finals game in a hotel bar in Baltimore with a Cavs fans. After LeBron slide tackled Stephen Curry, I was aghast. Cavs fan? “Totally not even a regular foul.”
I’m also reminded of my trips to Massachusetts, and some random bartender asking me, a single business suit dude, if I wanted a “pitchah of beeah” when I asked for a beer. No man, just a regular glass please. A different bartender on the same trip mocked my manliness after I turned down garlic fries (seemed like the place that was going to dump a bunch of raw garlic on top without tossing it all together with the cheese and seasonings…
Anyways, the point is that we all experience this reality slightly differently through our own lenses of bias, so get ready for a weird game. Boston has been talking up their own physicality, while also imploring the league to step in and put an end to the menace of Draymond Green. Will they allow Curry to get held off ball every play still? Who knows!
One thing is for sure, Boston is going to be pulling out every trick they can think of.
On the injury front, looks like they’ve dusted off the rickety old man knees of Andre Iguodala and have him listed as available… Porter and Payton too, but for me, their “questionable” tag hit a bit differently coming into tonight compared to Iguodala.

Series tied, 1-1
Wow, so much blame on the Warriors getting posted here. I saw so much bad officiating - they ghost fouls on Steph early on, and no calls when they did drive into the paint. That meant the C’s could knock the offense around. I saw lots of W’s showing anger and pouting at the refs.
Regardless of how this season ends, I am excited about free agency. Once again like when Boogie joined the Dubs, GSW will be a destination for talented. ring chasers taking minimums.
