Game Thread: Klay Thompson will not play against Jazz tonight
Gobert in, Mitchell out for Utah; Warriors also without Iguodala, Green
The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of an extended homestand that has been a mixed bag of results so far. With Draymond Green out for at least another week, and Andre Iguodala going easy on his old man legs, the Warriors are in for a challenge tonight.
That just got a little more challenging though, as Klay Thompson was announced as being out by coach Steve Kerr about an hour before tipoff
Boy.
Please be okay. Hopefully this is just out of an abundance of caution. I’m sure there will be a ton of questions and updates on this issue and will update below as possible.
POST-PUBLISH UPDATE (Kerr clip of entire announcement via Anthony Slater of The Athletic):

For Utah, things are looking sunnier, as they will get both Bogdanovic, Gobert back.

GAME DETAILS

Poole doesn’t like to party from the bench?
After the late cancelation of Klay Thompson that means Jordan Poole will not be coming off the bench. Poole was one of the best-looking Warriors earlier in the season, but has struggled since moving to the bench to give the returned Splash Brother his starting spot back.
According to Monte Poole, in the last four games off the bench (all with Klay starting) he averaged 7.8 points, on 25.8% shooting while averaging 23 minutes. But in Poole’s last three starts (all in place of Thompson) those numbers jump to 20.7 points on 42.6% from the field in 31 minutes. Something to work on.
Also, don’t forget to celebrate the anniversary of one of the greatest nights ever!
Grizzlies, Lakers, Clippers, Nets LOST! Great night!
