Well that was to be expected. The Regular season starts Sunday right? That should be enough training camp for the rookies and we should only be down one player.
The season starts off better than we could have hoped for, the new signings play better than we were expecting, the team chemistry feels like old Strength in Numbers, Curry breaks the 3pt record, and then we slide into a hard to watch mini slump like a; will our heroes survive? why don't they look like themselves? who is going to save them? cliff hanger ending...
So, once again, in a critical moment, Poole looks at his man, turns back to face the rim, doesn't box him out, and his man gets the carom and he fouls him to end the game.
(Just finished the tape so I get to be bitter now.)
This seems like nitpicking to me. I'm pretty sure that if you track box out effort of players away from the basket after a shot goes up, you'd find that >50% don't put a body on their man.

Highlight of the game, no question:

Watch their legs right before. Valencunis doesn't even bend his legs, while GP2 is in a tiger crouch. What was Valencunis even thinking?
"I've got 9 inches on this guy, I barely need to jump"

I actually like how Phase One has been scripted:
The season starts off better than we could have hoped for, the new signings play better than we were expecting, the team chemistry feels like old Strength in Numbers, Curry breaks the 3pt record, and then we slide into a hard to watch mini slump like a; will our heroes survive? why don't they look like themselves? who is going to save them? cliff hanger ending...
A perfect set up for Phase Two.
Give the writers some credit!

Bitter late than never
I don't really blame him for that. He had inside position and the ball just had a weird ricochet.
I hear ya, but he didn't track his man. If he keeps a body on him there's no way the carom off of Moody gets to him. Jonas had 3 bodies on him.

Poole had some problems tonight, but that’s cool. I’m sure they will go over the tape with him.
Bleh.
Moody seemed to have a nice impact tonight even though he didn't hit a 3. Kinda odd since he's "just a 3 and D prospect".
How was kuminga?
He looked reasonably solid, but not phenomenal.
I thought Lee, Iguodala, and Moody were all good tonight.
Moody had some good moments, played OK defense and got to the rim a couple of times, grabed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes and made his free throws.
Uhhh...boo?
Looks like NBA TV went and significantly downgraded my Sunday. Oh well
I don't have NBA TV and since they picked it up my league pass does me no good live. My illegal (or otherwise) stream game is not strong.

nbabite dot com is better imo

That was a bit dull but I am PUMPED for the start of the regular season. CAN'T WAIT!!!
The ending for Episode 1 was a little lame. The trailer for Episode 2 has me pumped though.
haven't had a chance to watch yet, no post game tonight. Just fight it out in here please : )
Even the AUTHORs have abandoned us! Lament!

Klay doesn't need to watch his quarter, he's got it on constant replay in the back of his brain. Pauses only out of respect when feeding Rocco.
What if I watched more than 15 times? Does that make me China Klay?
No that makes you me
Agent Thompson:
You.
Agent Smith:
Yes, me.
Agent Smith:
Me... me... me...
Agent Smith Clone:
Me too.
Curry virus is more contagious than Omicron. But virus infection is short.
I just hope everyone recovers soon. It's painful watching them clang hard-earned open looks.
