Game Thread: It's a beautiful day for a Warriors win!
Team update: no meaningful update on Iguodala or Payton
The Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks meet again. After a thorough stomping in game one, the expectation is that Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will come back with a renewed energy and some new plans — but “they” also said that no one on the Warriors could cover Doncic ahead of game one.
Let’s all have some fun, and learn some lessons along the way about these two squads.
Speaking of squads, the Warriors finally provided the promised update on Andre Iguodala. Much like ramping up, they appear to indicate he is on the flip side of that liminal space: not ramping up just yet.
This article really deserves a high place in Dub Nation’s awareness, check out this rad article on Gary Payton
So, no, I’m not mad. I feel like maybe the whole world thought I was mad, though. Because once that game ended, my phone started blowing up — everyone tapping in and checking on me, making sure I wasn’t too upset or too down or whatever. And of course everyone with the Warriors, they’re all such good people and had my back, no question. I had a lot of people pissed on my behalf. And I love them for that. But I was good.
I kept trying to tell everyone: You know who I am, right? It’s like … out for three to five weeks? Come on now. I’ve been through way worse than that as a basketball player. I’ve been scrapping for six years trying to break into the league. So a few weeks was never going to get me down.
WHO: Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks

Warriors lead series 1-0
Ok, I was going to go with an old favorite from DRI because of the line “GO! / dont’ be tardy / fell asleep last night at a party” because of the Warriors early start (get those butts in seat in time for tipoff!). However, because I am a blogger of the people, I’m going with a non-punk song for you. Just saw these guys in Vancouver. Not my normal show type, but man, did they put on a fun show!
Grab your beverage (or ice cream of choice) and listen to some chill modern R&B as we get ready to watch some (hopefully) pretty Warriors basketball:
