Otto Porter ruled out, Golden State focused on ending the series in four

The Golden State Warriors have a chance to advance to the NBA Finals with just one more win, but the Dallas Mavericks are going to be fighting tooth and nail to avoid getting swept. Adding to the degree of difficulty, Otto Porter (foot) has been formally ruled out after being listed as Doubtful heading into today.

Focus equals free time!

Back when I worked on the Ropes Course, the end of the day would often drag out. It’s been a long day of hauling rope and yelling encouragement and instructions at kids — you’re spent. But there was always more work to do. You have to pull the ropes, nicely store them, lock up the elements, and then put everything away and have the closing safety meeting.

So we had a mantra to scream at each other in the dull moments in the waning sunshine: “Focus equals free time!”

"Nothing else matters." Not a whole lot of dancing today at shootaround (except for Draymond lol). Focused demeanor, alot of coaching even after cameras were let in, and assistants in scout team gear. You can tell GSW really wants to win a WCF tonight and get some time to recoup

It’s best if you get really close to their face, and too much volume is mandatory. In a pinch, you can radio it in over the walkie talkie. But the point is that it works. You can summon focus not just to yourself, but to others as well.

That’s where this series is right now. Focus equals free time. The Warriors have demonstrated a slow ratchet of dominance against these Dallas Mavericks and it’s time to get the heck out of here before anything goes wrong.

Focus.

Then? Free time.

I don’t have any special insight. No call to action. It feels like America just doesn’t care about the things that I think are important. If you pray, pray. If you can, lean on those you know to push for solutions. Because this is just an incredibly sad day for Texas, our entire country, everyone.
