OT: just came across this. some photos from a new book of BB courts in Hong Kong, some with incredible colour and context::
"Beginning in 2019, Austin Bell embarked on a quest to document all 2,549 basketball courts across Hong Kong, using Google Maps and drone photography to navigate the city’s diverse topography. His project involved 140 days of shooting and over 40,000 photos"
Ethical tank in full effect! Instead of "close enough to make it hurt" I think due to the changed expectations around this team it's now "close enough to make it palatable"
Could haver been covered by the Knicks (a mediocre FT shooting team, #14 in the league) missing a normal amount of them. Or by the refs not calling two phantom fouls on Brunson where he spazzed out but was untouched. Or by the refs not calling side out on two obvious Knicks shooting fouls.
Honestly, really a great game from us. I have no complaints.
Twould have been nice if Gui took that shot, rather than make a wild pass at the end, but just the fact we were within one score at the end of the game was marvelous.
edit: forgot to say ... Yurtseven did something that impressed me a bit. He had a really nice defensive read and rotated to stop a driver who had gotten a half-step on the Dubs defender (Gui?) on the other side of the court. You can tell he's a veteran. He took one three I thought was kind of ridiculous, too, but I'm grading on an extreme curve in his first game. Decent pick-up.
GSW will probably win tomorrow vs WAS and then organically lose out the rest of this hell road trip, putting them at 33 wins. POR probably passes GSW unless they go into extreme tank commander mode. MIL is not tanking I assume after all the Giannis drama, CHI is not exactly tanking either. So there is an outside outside chance that GSW could slip all the way into the #9 spot. Then if they lose out of the play-in, they’ll get the #9 lottery spot with a 20% chance at a Top 4. If they win into the playoffs, they’ll get #15 at best.
Not even upset at all about the ending. We want hungry Warriors next year when Steph will be healthy again and we can (eventually) get Jimmy back. For now putting the feat of God into the Knicks and GUI having a coming out party in the Garden is good enough to go along.

Lots of character in these young men.

One thing that makes me mad is when the score difference could be covered by made free throws. I'm not mad.

But I'm still not mad. :-)

Yes it was
BTW, if we're losing tomorrow, I'm posting this: https://derpicdn.net/img/view/2018/5/16/1734229.gif
No, this is not a fan animation. This is a clip from the show.

Don't POR have an incentive to tank since their pick is only top 14 protected?
I'm good with a play-in loss in which Steph shoots it 40 times and scores 80+. Must-see tv, and the Dubs remain in the running for a good draft pick.
84+ 😉

[Post Game Thread] The New York Knicks (43-25) defeat the depleted Golden State Warriors (32-34), 110-107.
I have zero confidence in us to get a look off in EOG situations no matter who is on the floor lol
Podz got a great look in what was also an end of game situation
So proud of our Warriors tonight. Unexpectedly close. Tough loss when they are this close. Podz And GP2.
Not even upset at all about the ending. We want hungry Warriors next year when Steph will be healthy again and we can (eventually) get Jimmy back. For now putting the feat of God into the Knicks and GUI having a coming out party in the Garden is good enough to go along.
Moral victory. YAY!
I’d take a moral victory over both a moral loss and an immoral victory
