Injury Report
The Kuminga saga has been widely dissected and discussed to death, but just a quick complaint to the basketball gods about bad luck injuries. Just when Kuminga started to get finally get things rolling in December 2024, he got injured and then he never quite got his footing after the arrival of Jimmy Butler.
Then after the thrilling first few games of 2025-26 showed he could be a stunning complementary player, his play declined mostly likely because of playing through the injury that eventually sidelined him for most of November. He struggled on his return and the debut of De’Anthony Melton reconfigured the team and made JK the odd man out.
Then when all the ill stars aligned to force Kuminga back into the lineup for his redemption arc, and just when JK poured in a bunch of points per minute in two thrilling games, he suffered another injury. Perfectly timed before the trade deadline too. So it is possible we’ve seen the last of Kuminga in a Warriors uniform.
I don’t have a point here or anyone to blame. It’s just a shame. It reminds me a lot of the other star-crossed pick James Wiseman. In retrospect, JW was never going to make it on the Warriors, but he also had a number of extended absences including missing all of his second year, which just dragged out the whole relationship and kept us in a perpetual state of uncertainty and just made it impossible to assess him and move on.
Prediction
Out for sure
Jimmy Butler
Jonathan Kuminga
Al Horford
De’Anthony Melton
Probably out

Draymond Green
So having the
However, given the highly distracted state of the city of Minneapolis, anything is possible on the basketball court.
Prediction: Warriors win in an uneasy game where we all try to forget for a while about the horrible events in the surrounding city.
On Site Comments and Politics
Reminder that I do not want DNHQ to become a political discussion. Politics and what is happening in MIN is much more important than basketball. This should be discussed widely and people should call their Senators and Congresspeople, and organize locally, but there are much better places than here. This is a little corner of the internet to get away from that.
