GSW has never been great without the heartbeat. Here’s to hoping that a more in control Dray returns in 2024. He can bring his shrink to the games. Whatever it takes.
At Steph’s peak they played like a 60+ win whoever was on the floor with him — even with no Dray, Klay or KD. But the league has caught up and Steph may not be quite that level anymore, at least not consistently.
Good news is Kerr, FO and ownership can no longer deny team is in crisis mode. It's a fact and there's no way to talk around it. Rooks are the only bright spot.
“Wing Boogie” is a pretty good comp. He makes almost as many selfish/boneheaded plays as Boogie, too. Plays like that ridiculous drifting three with plenty of time on the shot clock are basically turnovers.
This team is not very good. No offense to you Moody stans (and ive come around on him) but if we are arguing about the 11th guy on the roster as a possible difference maker then we really aren’t a very good squad as currently built (sans Dray)
Moody should get a shot at starting instead of Klay for a stretch. He is not shooting any worse but is way more active defensively and getting rebounds. If the experiment goes bad, at least he knows what he has to work on, but chances are the team is going to better with him in there.
Moody is solid and probably should be higher up than the 11th guy, but you're right. The real difference maker will be whether Steph Klay Dray and Wiggs can turn back the clock into their 2022 versions.
We always dig ourselves a big hole by playing terribly in the first half. And then frantically play catch up in the last quarter. Not a good recipe at all.
They've shown plenty of suckage so far. It's all good tho, but I'm still getting used to this negative-Nelly towards my team side of me that I haven't felt since I was a San Diego charger fan
We were without Draymond. And Klay might as well have been a DNP while Moody was left to rot on the bench instead. GP2 also shaking off the rust. It's excuses, but if we turned up with this effort against Miami we probably would be 1-1 in this homestand.

What in the world has happened to Klay? His game seems to have disintegrated.
Two leg injuries. Look at Boogie Cousins. Couldn’t get any consistent lift on his jumpshot post Achilles.

Seems unlikely because he has had some beautiful shooting games. Something else is going on.
But Klay got the 3pt record last year and that 50pt game. And that’s all post injuries.
We played our old guys Steph and CP3 30+ minutes and lost. So much for the plan to keep their minutes down.
Only two less losses than Utah now.

Wiggs is improving and has been playing much better. Klay is the opposite.
Both have improved compared to the start of the season, the consistency just isn't there yet.
Yup
Good thing we kept Moody good and rested since Klay was going off.
Still think this team could be more like 18-14 if Klay had just sat out all season.
Minutes crunch is rough already, and about to get real when Dray returns.
I wonder what our record is since Klays return in the 21-22 season? I don't remember if he was part of the hot start that season
He was not. 18-2 start with him on the shelf.

Team probably wondering: if other teams could do it against us, why can't we do it them...
We wasted a good game from CP3 tonight
Luka still on the floor?! Odd.
Next year will be better! First two games are… Magic and Nuggets. 😱
CP3 can still be Jalen Brunson-like on O if he puts his mind to it. Maybe he unlocked something tonight.
I expect this team to lose every game now.
Easy to say when they’re down 10 late.
They've shown plenty of suckage so far. It's all good tho, but I'm still getting used to this negative-Nelly towards my team side of me that I haven't felt since I was a San Diego charger fan
I’ll co-sign “has shown plenty of suckage so far.” But there has been some good stuff, too.
Yea ill acknowledge that, but with Steph on this team, all I care about is wins and they're not happening
I definitely expect us to lose every game this homestand.
This is why people shouldn’t overreact our wins against worse teams. We still have problems
Or overreact to our losses.
Well Steph struggles more often than not against the better teams
Nah. You made that up. Talk about overreacting, lol.
And that’s without Kyrie… damn

Eh we scored 122 on them without Kyrie, their defense will be even worse with him, and I don’t see them scoring better than they did today.
Mavs are 8-7 without him. They're gonna be 9-7 now.
Everyone was at minimum pretty good today, except Klay. And the defense.
"minimum" ...
and the defense is what really counts (IMO)
